our room was clean and comfortable. It was a little small, but given the building`s age. perfectly understandable. the location was excellent and close to everything we required. the owners and staff were very helpful and polite. Coming from Australia, we were surprised at the lack of a small refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms but they were available elsewhere on site. We later found that no refrigerators in rooms is not an uncommon occurrence in Britain, probably due to climate.

The location can not be beaten. It's wonderful to explore major sites in London on foot. The shared bathrooms are very clean. Tea and coffee station is a welcome addition in the common room. The 24-hour reception is also a plus. The hotel is within an old building, the floor on the top floor is uneven. Please bear this in mind when booking. Overall a good stay.

Great position and great value for London. My room ( a single on the 3rd floor) was exactly as advertised, the sink is a nice comfortable touch! Room is small but for me and my dog it has everything we needed and was comfortable! I was asked a 150£ pet deposit at my arrival w little explanation as to what it is supposed to cover. I would have appreciated a more thorough level of detail on it, as there is no way to dispute potential charges.

Nice area with retaurants, supermarket and public transport within walking distance. Quirky old building, but kept clean. We arrived during a London heatwave so it was pretty hot without A.C.

Location The staircases are treacherous and steep. Only good for moderately fit folks. The one room with private shower did not drain. So only one person could shower or risk overflow. 4th floor rooms have no ac but also have only one window and and a weak fan. If it is more than 26 C outside prepare to be very warm.

location was brilliant, 10 min walk from Euston train station, Russell square tube station around the corner, Brunswick shopping centre short walk away, lots of places to eat nearby ( would recommend Valencia cafe on the corner, lovely food and affordable prices) and mini supermarkets to buy snacks and essentials No tea/ coffee in room they were available down stairs but you could not take it back to your room / no wardrobe in room just hangers / needed a better source of aircon as I stayed in August and weather was really hot, a fan was supplied but a bigger/ more powerful fan would have been better

The hotel staff was very friendly. The triple room with private bathroom was small but comfortable. Location was very good, close to pubs, restaurants, grocery stores and tube stations. A/C in the room for hot summer days would be great. The room had two small fans but they were not enough to cool the room.
