The most friendly/helpful staff at breakfast I've ever met. Thank you for a super start to the day. The room was quiet which was a surprise given its next to reception. The hotel is a period property. It's frankly a bit weird - or at least our accessibility room was. The photos could have done a better job of setting the character expectations. The standalone a/c was too noisy to try running through the night - and we were mostly successful doing without it having had the room cooled initially.

The hotel had a convenient location, close to the metro. The elevator was working, there was always hot water, and the air conditioning was a plus. However, we specifically booked and paid for a twin room with two separate beds, but were told upon arrival that none were available. The only alternative was a room with a sofa, which was not a suitable solution. As a result, we had to share one bed. This was very disappointing. We specifically booked and paid for a twin room with two separate beds because we were travelling as two friends. However, upon arrival, we were told that no twin rooms were available and that we would have to stay in a room with one double bed. The only alternative offered was a room with a sofa, which was not a reasonable equivalent to the separate bed we had paid for. We therefore had no choice but to share the same bed during our stay. This was extremely disappointing, especially because the room type had been specifically selected and paid for in advance. I believe guests should receive the room type they have booked and paid for, or be offered a genuinely equivalent alternative.

The location was excellent. Friendly and efficient check in. It was a comfy bed. The room was ‘tired’ and the carpet was stained. There was a smell of drains in the bathroom.

The hotel reception area is smart and just the right size for this kind of hotel. This air conditioned area was most welcome on the extremely hot day when I arrived. The bedroom was relatively small although very well appointed as well as spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable and allowed for a good night’s sleep. The breakfast area in the basement was very well managed with a very good choice of hot and cold items.

Was close to Victoria street station so handy. Got a nice breakfast. Room was smaller than expected. I also thought I booked a twin room but didn’t get that. Was told I had booked a standard room but when checked there was an option of 2 single rooms.

Honestly I was pleasantly surprised! It was such good value for money and it had everything we needed. Great location. Great room with a view of the London eye, the shard etc. super friendly staff. Good breakfast selection. And most importantly AIRCON in the rooms which was a blessing when it was 36°c outside thank you to everyone. Highly recommend.

Location excellent for all travel, very near tube, train and coach station. If driving can park outside. If room not ready, we were there earlier because of travel connections can leave luggage there safely. Additionally as check out was 11am, we also left luggage there till 5pm whilst we still explored. Breakfast was good, beds comfy and shower powerful and hot. If needed there were tea and coffee making facilities, an iron, ironing board and hair dryer. Air conditioning. Not applicable
