Garden View Hotel

The location was excellent Lack of comfort in the room and lack of air conditioning

Nothing positive about this stay. The hotel was undergoing renovation, which was not mentioned when booking, and the entrance was not welcoming or professional. Worst of all, there were bed bugs in our room. We booked 5 nights with our children. On 3 August around 2 AM, during our second night, we caught a bed bug on the bed. One of my daughters had numerous bites and a severe allergic reaction. During the day, her reaction became much worse, and we had to buy several medical products to treat it. The children were very distressed and we had a sleepless night. I immediately asked reception to change rooms, but was told this was not possible until the next morning. The next day, reception told me that the room had had bed bug problems before and that bed bugs are common in big cities. We were offered the room opposite ours, which we considered far too risky. I requested an early check-out and refund of the remaining nights due to my children’s health, but this was refused. I was told to email reservations, which I did immediately. I still have received no response. The way this was handled was completely unacceptable. DO NOT book this hotel. The bed bugs!!!! Very poor response and handling of my request for the health of my children. Other than this, the room was very small, with a tiny bathroom that looks like a hidden closet. It was super hot inside the room.

Great staff. Included a fan when there was hot weather. Great location, near subway, but not too noisy Disabled access could be better. Good staff

Walking distance to different restaurants and the tube. It was VERY hot. The lift could only fit one person with a suitcase and moved very slow. The shower had no pressure and it was either ice cold or scorching hot.

Nice flat in great location and so close to everything. Comfortable bed, great shower and kitchen available. Nice host and everything was perfect!

Power shower would have helped

The beds are big and comfortable. There're lots of lights in the room, plus It's only a 7-mins walk to the tube station. There's no air-conditioning in the room. We have the electrical fan switched on during the night which was quite ok.

The staff was super friendly and allowed me to check in 3hrs earlier after I have had a long flight

Convenient location very close to Earl's Court Tube station. Felt like a safe and quiet neighbourhood. Slept quite well. Very good rate for one night stay. Single room was very small and the bed was quite narrow and slightly lumpy. Bathroom was extremely small to move around in although it was clean and just about manageable. Small wall-mounted TV that didn't work. Walls were paper thin and I could overhear conversations all around. That said, once the noise died down I slept ok.

Location was excellent, very close to Earls Court Underground. Lovely quiet area with Nevern Park over the road. The room is small and the shower is very small. There is no bedside table. It is adequate for a place to stay when one is busy every day in London. The pillow was very hard. There was no bedside table.

Good behavior from staff, helped us to get a new room when we were not happy with the first room that we got

Dirty, smelly and wouldn't allow me to cancel the booking (with 3 weeks notice) after seeing multiple reviews with pictures of bed bugs. I don't appear to have any bites but the place is filthy

Location was good. The hotel is very old and needs urgent restoration. It wasn't very clean.
