We loved staying at the Troy Hotel on our recent trip to London. The hotel was in a great location across from Kensington/Hyde Park just off Bayswater Road. The rooms are small but nicely updated with AC . The woodwork is lovely - light with inlaid accents. Very charming. It was clean and quiet and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We were able to leave our bags in a locked closet after check out while we spent our last day sight seeing before heading to Heathrow which we greatly appreciated. We would stay there again anytime! I wish there had been fresh fruit at breakfast instead of canned fruit cocktail as I am a vegan so.my options were limited.

The breakfast was decent, Staff was good The pictures when we booked were very deceiving. Room was very small, shower I could barely fit in.
-
Breakfast, with just hard boiled egg, cheese and bread. Small bugs and cockroaches in the toilet ? but the staff is so helpful and also the room is quite big.
-
Included breakfast isn't the best.

Breakfast could be a bit richer

The room was large and lots of space to hang clothes. Large tv with streaming facility. Comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Very good location. The room we had, the window looked straight into a wall from the building next door. Felt quite dark and claustrophobic. No power point or bedside table on one side of the bed. Room needs updating. AC very noisy and didn’t always work.
-
Spacious room Very basic salty breakfast: boiled egs & cheese. No vegetables. For sweet breakfast: croisants, butter, honey & jam. Cereals and fruit compote. no fresh fruits.

Great location near Hyde Park and nearby restaurants. Good value for comfortable central place to stay. Breakfast was included, but was a basic continental style with a couple of extras.
-
Shower was too small.

I love the central location so close to Hyde park. I also liked the air conditioning as it was one of the hottest days in London.
-
Quiet and comfortable room in a pleasant part of London, one block to Kensington Gardens This is a vintage hotel with vintage rooms, comfortable for me, but the shower stall might be a challenge for someone taller or very large in girth

The room and the hotel/ pub were nice. Convenient walk to the Observatory. Nothing
-
nice breakfast close to Paddington and Hyde Park. Good transport links Super friendly staff

Couldn’t be happier with the location, for both access to the underground and walking through Hyde park to the Natural history museum and the War Rooms. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again on our next trip to London.
-
Great location and a quiet room a few steps from the underground and from Kensington Park. And I do mean a quiet room, Not a 'quiet for a big city.' We each had a room with a single bed, and since this is a hotel with charming architecture from another era, the room was small by American standards, but efficiently laid out.

Fxcellent location. Room small but very well designed and maintained. We were happy there, would come again. A little small, especially the shower. Breakfast is subpar. I suggest charging more per room and upgrading breakfast. By all means, get fresh fruit, fresh bakery healthy bread, and add salami to supplement mediocre cheese!

The Troy Hotel's was conveniently located - just two streets from the Central Line "Subway/Tube" station and next to Kensington Park. We bought "Tube/Bus" all day tickets (the best mass transit value) - which we used as a "hop-on-hop-off" means of travel ((subway & double decker buses) to visit London's major attractions. Staff was very friendly and helpful - providing us with London maps, brochures, and directions to nearby sites. Our 5th floor room was above average in size with comfortable twin beds and an adequate bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of items & juices. Overall, an excellent experience & value. Nothing to point out
