Thistle London Hyde Park Kensington Gardens

Staff is nice but doesn't follow through. We had an issue w/guests next door and they ruined our stay. I was promised another room with a bathtub but didn't get it, even after being offered other solutions. No storage in rooms or bathrooms.

Too small and small elevators

Horrible shower. Shower tub is so shallow. Even with a 5 minutes shower, water overflew and flooded into the room. Waited quite a while for staff to provide towels.

Booking had listed that the room had a refrigerator but it turned out to be a chiller only, which isn’t quite the same thing. In the end it worked out ok but I would have preferred a proper fridge. The location is very convenient. The only possible drawback is the gas station below which makes the entrance rather industrial-looking, but otherwise it overlooks the park & is very close to both underground and bus stations & is centrally-located.

The location and the receptions staff everything was excellent, and we truly enjoyed our stay. The location, cleanliness, and the friendliness of the staff were outstanding. The only issue was the noise from the neighboring room doors. Every time they closed, the loud slamming sound was very disturbing, especially when it happened repeatedly. Improving the door-closing mechanism would make the stay even more comfortable.

Rude, beyond unprofessional

Bar service was a little slow and sometimes there was no one behind there. Breakfast to the room - messed order up.

Location is perfect Clean facility and friendly staff. Rooms a bit small.

Reception was quick and efficient. View over the gardens nice. My only complaint was at dinner where the salad leaves were not up to scratch. They were part of the core of the lettuce where the proper salad leaves should have been served. The salad leaves in the dinner i had. The chef should not serve up such inferior salad ingredients. I pointed this out to the staff but they did not acknowledge my problem or offer another dish of salad to me.

This property had a lift and air conditioning. It had good beds and pillows. The hop on hop off buses all stop outside the hotel, so did the normal buses. It was easy to walk to the tube stations from the hotel. If you did not book with breakfast it was very pricy to have breakfast in the hotel. There are many options a few blocks away.

Location is good with access to underground Standard double room was too small for 2 persons. No place to keep luggage. Ac was not good in the rooms allocated.

Very shabby room furniture and the hotel has little or no kerb appeal (it quite literally has a petrol station as part of the building).

Didn't like that there was no hot water in morning. Left my jacket in hotel bar but wasn't there or in missing items. It was given to me as a gift and someone took it.

I seriousky suggest the hotel to put slippers and toilet brushes in the rooms.
