Renovated. The shower is dysfunctional: the rainshower just drizzles. And the cold water production of the sink the same: almost no water comes out. I complainted each day of our stay and nothing was done. Supplies to the room were insufficiënt. We had to ask for refill of showersoap etc.

Room was clean and a good size, with the bed being comfortable. Breakfast was well stocked with plenty of options. Paid for early check-in, room was not ready. The friendly reception said if we could wait 30mins or so. This was not option as we was going to a show that was opening at 1:30pm. So Elizabeth spent sometime to find an available room. ( Minibar was not ready when we entered.) All of the cooked breakfast tried was barely warm at very best. Was not offered a physical receipt at check out and still waiting to see an e-mail of actual charges....

Stayed for 3 nights with my 9 year old at the end of July. The room was on a small side but within our expectation. I wouldn't complain because there was air-co! Also the small fridge and coffee & tea equipments in the room was a big bonus. The restaurant was always crowded yet we were always able to find a table right away, and offered enough variety for both of me and my son. The staff was very helpful. Overall we are satisfied. The location was OK, in regards to the distance from the city center (or the tourist area) as well as the distance from the nearest station (West Brompton.) The atmosphere around the hotel is quite "local", though. It was summer, so I could still walk to the nearest supermarket around 20:00 with my son, but I would hesitate to do if it was in winter. The smallness of the room was OK for me, but I just wish if the sealing was a bit higher. (Could be because I live in the Netherlands, where the average height is the world's tallest.)

It has a car park which is critical when I’m in London. Good rooms. Welcoming staff. A bit far outside London but close to tube and taxis are regular.
