The room was large, comfortable and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. With the refurbishment under way we appreciated the gestures to make our stay more special. Thank you. Nothing within the control of the hotel.

The location is not too bad. It’s a few minutes from Holborn tube and Covent Garden. It’s like a very expensive YMCA. We paid nearly £400 for three people in the smallest room. There was literally not floor space. It’s was quite dated and the staff appeared scruffy (but very sweet). We had a welcome letter apologising for the appearance at the front along with some utterly inedible melted chocolate and sour red wine. Whilst I applauded the gesture, it made me feel a bit underwhelmed. We didn’t stay for breakfast. It just didn’t seem worth it. The beds were comfortable but no air conditioning that we could see, or a fan. The room was really hot. The bathroom was presentable but we had to ask for bath towels and we could only find hand towels. Banging on the Sunday morning from the workmen below the window didn’t help either.

Perfect location, easy access to theatres and Royal Opera House, yet next door to peaceful Lincoln Inn’s Fields, which has excellent cafe in leafy surroundings. Very comfy and clean room, friendly and helpful staff (particularly on evening of our arrival). During our stay hotel undergoing building works on ground floor but this had minimal impact. Complimentary wine and delicious chocolates to ‘compensate’ for any disruption, and very simple breakfast. Aware of building work during day on Thursday, but these works to finish in September. Had ‘internal’ room with small light well so unable to open window.

Location It is being renovated and we were not informed.Main entrance closed.There was a complimentary continental breakfast but this finished at nine, too early for tourists.

Nice quiet area. Two room out of the three we booked did not have working air con, when it was so needed! We were not told at time of booking that there was building works going on.

Great location and decent quiet room. Took a number of times to get the staff to turn the air conditioning off in our room as the panel wasn’t working, and most of the ground floor was under construction. This was remedied with free breakfast
