Excellent location near enough to the nightlife of Lisbon but removed from the party vibe. On the bus, tram line for easy access and outstanding staff. The decor and vibe are well curated and breakfast was topnotch

The rooms are very spacious with a sitting room, large bathroom and bedroom. The boutique furniture and decorations were nice. There is air conditioning in the bedroom that works well, though it can get hot in the sitting room. The breakfast was excellent with fresh eggs, pastries, fruit and more. Arriving was a real challenge. I got to the facility around and could not reach anyone to get into the facility and no one responded on the emergency number. The lobby is behind 2 secured doors that are only open during the day. I had to book another hotel after traveling 24 hours to get there for the night. If you are arriving outside of 4pm, be very specific on with the property on how to get into it. The hotel requires that you enter a code to get two different doors and then another code to get into your room. There was an evening when the entrance codes did not work and we had no one to call to get in. Luckily, we had another guest that let us in.

Really great location, directly across from the gardens, close proximity to lots of great bars and restaurants, as well as shopping. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a cool breeze that flowed through the room. The breakfast was also very generous with lots of great options for savoury and sweet. The floor of the shower felt squishy and a little unstable, almost like we could fall through it — quite off-putting. The hair dryer also cut out from overheating after a few seconds. Offering chilled water on arrival, especially in the heat of summer. The fridge in the room barely kept water cooler than room temp.

easy walking distance to wherever we wanted to go in Lisbon It was amazing nothing to change.

The room didn’t have air conditioning

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

The staff was very friendly and accommodating for our baby with a crib! Comfortable bed and great location to explore Lisbon. Quiet and very "homey" with free water refills. Easy check in and check out process. No parking included and the closest lot is about a 10 minute walk (~17 euros/night). I wish breakfast was included in the cheaper rate. No hair dryer available. Our actual room was next door to the check-in building (but the staff helped carry our bags!)

The biggest disappointment was the room. Large and beautifully presented with a good large bed. But the room has no air conditioning, just a cheap fan which was totally inappropriate for the most expensive room in the hotel. This is not explained in the booking materials so be careful. Worst of all the room is dangerous. Security for the room is via an old style key which is inappropriate for a modern accommodation property and was difficult to lock and unlock. The inevitable happened a couple of days into our stay. The locking system jammed and we were locked in our room. It took a staff member some time to eventually unlock the door to let us out. Imagine the result if there had been a fire! As the room was not secure, we were offered another, cheaper room with air conditioning but a bed that sagged in the middle making sleep nearly impossible. All together this was not a good value for money property.

    No A/C unfortunately.

The location of Casa Oliver is amazing! You are right in the heart of it all. The neighborhood, access to Lisbon, restaurant, views, coffee shops. I would go there again because of the location. There was a strong aroma when you walked in the hotel door. An herbal sense of some kind that was kind of strong.

Miguel was extremely friendly and provided us with recommendations of what to see and do in the area. The bed was comfortable and room was big with tall ceilings. Our room had an area only for a toilet with a glass shower in the corner of the room.

The breakfast was done with so much love and attention to detail. It was a delight! I liked everything about this hotel. I only have good things to say.

Location, host, and styling. Internet speed and peculiar smell in bathroom

I loved the design of the hotel, the details and the location the best. The location was perfect - 2 mins from my friends' place and right across from the plaza park in Principe Real. The room was very spacious and nice to have welcome mini pastel de nata and water along with complimentary tea. The bed was very comfortable. I unfortunately left to early to really enjoy the location and explore from there and I missed the breakfast but I would definitely stay again. I didn't like that the main door into the room opened straight into the bathroom. That is a first. I guess with it being an old building they renovated best way they could.

From the moment I checked-in, I was amazed at the quality of care provided by staff. They contacted me via WhatsApp when my flight was delayed informing me how to access the property and my room since they would not be onsite by the time I arrived. I got into my room without issue, and I was enamored with my room right away. The design and care for the building and rooms is exceptional. The bed was comfortable, minibar had a nice selection of items, and the location of the property is right in the heart of happening Lisbon. Despite that, I couldn't hear street noise when I was in my room with the window closed. I heard neighbors a few times, but that's to be expected in an older, restored building. Minor feedback, and it's not that I "didn't like it", but some of the items listed on the minibar price sheet were not available in my room. And the bathroom didn't have a fan.

The room and the location None

  • Engine customer Apr 2026

The room was spacious, lovely view, very clean, nice decor, well stocked with supplies that we may need and very comfortable bed. A wonderful mix of old style in a prime location. Nothing was missing.

This was our third time staying here and we love the hotel and the neighborhood. The friendly staff are so helpful. The rooms are large and beautifully appointed. We will return again! Our stay was too short!

This was my second stay here in 2 weeks. After spending 2 days in the Algarve with cold temperatures and heavy rains, I decided to come back here instead for the rest of my trip. The beautiful relaxed ambience delights, so if the cold/rain made an appearance again I'd at least have a lovely cozy environment recharge in and interesting things to see/do nearby. Luckily the weather here was warm and sunny. I got the last room and what a room it was! Huge and elegantly furnished with 3 floor to ceiling window/doors overlooking the beautiful park across the street. Polished hardwood floors, leather chairs, marble tables, a canopy bed with the best sheets, original Asian art on the walls, a scenic hand painted mural, and large marble bath. Amenities included a mini bar, Smeg tea kettle, Nepresso coffee maker, complimentary tea, coffee and water, crystal cut glassware, and a hair dryer. Directly across from my room is the charming dining room with hushed authentic jazz playing in the background, the most beautifully presented, plentiful buffet of fresh foods, excellent coffee and fresh orange juice. But of course you will be leaving the space. The doors open to the lush park across the street with its own outdoor cafe and coffee stand. Occasional live music and a bazaar of artisan goods. Take a right and it's a short walk past restaurants and shops to the train for day trips. To the left is a lovely walk to down to the plaza for a great view of lower Lisbon. Continue to Baxia, Chiado, Aflama are all in walking distance for tours, shopping or just strolling around on your own and discovering new places. Nothing.
