The room was stylish and very clean. It was only a small room, but had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable. The guest house is situated in the centre of Keswick, but on a very quite street. Amy was a wonderful host, who made me feel very welcome. I particularly loved the breakfast they provided, with several cooked options and also fresh fruit salad. Absolutely nothing.

Perfect location only 2 mins walk from main street, spotless, comfy room and delicious breakfast. Friendly knowledgeable hosts nothing was too much trouble. No issues at all

Our room was cosy and nicely decorated - it was well stocked with essentials such as teabags, hot chocolate and biscuits. Breakfast was excellent and host was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed.

I enjoyed an excellent two nights at Avondale Guest House in February 2025. Amy and Chris were friendly and welcoming hosts, and provided helpful information on my stay, including local restaurants and activities. My room was comfortable, modern and tastefully decorated, and I also appreciated the fresh milk provided for tea and coffee in my room. There were a range of hot breakfast options available to choose from, as well as cereals, yoghurt, fresh juice etc. I had the full English breakfast throughout my stay which was delicious, and included Chris' homemade bread. The guesthouse was also very well located, on a quiet street and within a short walking distance of the town centre with its shops, cafes, bakeries, and restaurants. Overall, I had a great stay and would recommend Avondale Guest House!
