Red Roof Inn Atlanta - Kennesaw State University

We arrived at 930 pm after traveling for 7 hours. The lobby was dark and locked. It actually looked abandoned. There in one door that allows you to step into a vestibule with a small slide window. It was a bit scary. The first room ( 113) had peeling paint in the bathroom all over the floor, the room smelled horrible, the hair dryer has some type of brown residue on it with black hair wrapped aroud it- it did not even work. We turned around and asked for another room. This room-111- was not much better, The caulk around the toilet was black, there was red and blck slime on the shower head and drain. The mattress was lumpy and we could feel springs in certain spots. I did not expect luxury but at least clean. The pool was covered with a green tarp and there were a few cars in the parking lot that looked like they have been there for months. The pictures online look nothing like what was there. The only coffee was in the room with a dusty small coffee maker- we did not touch it. The lobby was locked the next day- it never opened. The staff lady was very nice but that was the only positive. We will never go there again and I am surprised that Expedia would even off such a place.

Bath gel ran out. Room was clean. Clean grounds. Parking was good.

Never staying at this place again. Dirty, trash everywhere on the ground on the property. Smelly room.

The t.v in the room didn't work

Black mold

Had to clean the room myself in order to be able to stay here. Was offered another room by the front desk, when I started I wanted to look at it first, was told there was no other room anyways!!! Checked in and there was cut up chair, busted ceiling light, wall sconces and tv were braced against wall barely hanging on, and everything was sticky!!! Only needed to be here two nights and needed the proximity to a family member and pet friendly is the only reason we stayed!!!!! The property never even opened the lobby, only utilized the tiny night window to communicate with desk the entire stay. Now I’m fighting to recover bam my refundable pet deposit even after I left the room cleaner than when I entered it!!!

There are homeless people sleeping in their car outside of our room. They were strolling the parking lot in a wheel chair. There are what appears to be abandoned vehicles. I did not feel comfortable. The shower head is caked with mold and no wash clothes. Need a better bath Matt for the shower area because I stepped out the shower and wrenched my back from the mat slipping on the tile floor because the mat is not stationary or doesn't have a slip proof backing. The bed was not comfortable. Sheets were itchy and the tv is small and the sound is like being in a tunnel

Friendly and helpful staff. Close to Waffle House Wall coverings and paint was peeling off. Never changed our sheets or made the beds. I'm not sure if they did any cleaning. They did empty the garbage. Breakfast we were suppose to have breakfast included ? We needed a room with handicap bath. Staff tried to offer a bigger room. which was nice but my wife needed the handicap bath. Come to find out the handicap rooms are smaller although the bathroom is bigger. No way to get into the bath since there was a tub not an open shower.

It was being used by contractors, few shady people

Overall great stay. No complaints. Other than the gaps around the door that they should adjust.

Requested a new room and it was better but still below what it should be. The attendant was polite and accommodating. I would definitely tell you to go elsewhere.

Be ready for spider webs and roaches

Was in a good location Had a horrible bug and roach problem and the rooms smelled like straight Marijuana. We swapped rooms and the other room was just as bad.

Scary place. Plus no heat, it was 40 degrees outside

AC cycled on and off all night

The staff was nice. The front desk was nice. I didn’t like that the room I was in had bedbugs and even though I killed them, there were still more coming out so there was an infestation. The front desk did try to accommodate me by putting in another room, but I did not feel comfortable staying at a hotel that had bedbugs so I unfortunately had to pay to go stay somewhere else and I contacted them to get a refund for the money I spent even though I didn’t stay and they refused.

Parking was free and great. i was able to park close to my room.

COCKROACHES, FILTH, AND DRUGGIES HERE!!! RUN AWAY FAST. MANAGER KNOWS AND DON'T CARE AND THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU ONCE YOU ARE THERE. NOT ACCOUNTABLE OR PROFESSIONAL ABOUT THINGS THAT IS WRONG WITH THEIR ESTABLISHMENT!!!.. So The room didnt look bad at 1st glance but after a good look theirs problems..The microwave was filthy inside, TV didn't work right, and their was hair and dirt under and behind furniture. outlets were hanging halfway out of the wall, and the bed linens were stained. Extremely strong chemical odor in room gave me headache. 3 roaches come crawling out on the night stand between the beds and all over the phone in room! Another ran across floor in front of the clerk after we went and told her! She acted like it was no big deal and refused to refund us so we could get a room elsewhere. Instead they offered us the room right above the 1ST one even though I had specifically requested 1st floor room due to health reasons. Refused us any other room even though they had several empty ones and on top of all that we Still didn't get even a discount for the inconvenience and aggravation of having to go through that situation even though it was clearly due to the hotels negligence and I ended up sleeping in my vehicle and lost 100$ ... Please save yourself the trouble and pass this place by.
