Very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. By foot from the train station it’s quite a walk uphill and for those of us not necessarily pub-goers a bit noisy.

Nice place to stay if you like being away from the main part of the city

Good localisation and breakfast The building is dirty. Our room it smelled awfully and the window was not working properly. Generally the windows weren't airtight so it was quite chilly in the rooms. The other room was right above the entrance to the pub so we could hear really loud music until midnight.

Basic, clean and comfortable and suitable for purpose.

Staff were great and very welcoming. The meal in the restaurant in the evening was superb. The Hotel is very 'tired' and requires redecorating throughout. There was also a strange smell on the stairs which was quite off-putting

Location Facilities were not good. Staff was arrogant. Size of bed was very small & difficult for 2 adults to sleep.

Loved my stay here - would definitely come back. Decent sized room with modern ensuite. Had breakfast and dinners here and the food was always amazing. Staff are very friendly. Also close to other restaurants, tourist locations, tour bus stops and bus routes Staying here made me feel like home. I was very comfortable as a solo female traveller.
