Barceló Hamburg

The AC was not easy to turn off but with guidance from the reception, we managed to switch it off. It would start automatically though. We would prefer to get fresh air from outside and turn the AC completely off. The price was a little too high for our budget but it should be because of the period.

Location Staff not very friendly. No complimentary water in the rooms. No bellboy to help with luggage.

Location is excellent. Rooms are clean. Well equipped.

Central location but just enough to the side for the city center that it felt more private. Staff was very helpful. Room was clean, great size. Service was exceptional. Easy check in and out.

Staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful - both in the hotel and the restaurant. The rooms were spacious with lots of pillows that weren't too hard and nice big beds. The showers were great, but might be a bit revealing for people who don't know each other well. 5 minutes walk from the main station and the in hotel restaurant was quite good and reasonably priced. Would definitely stay here again. There were little flies in the restaurant that annoyed me, but it's been warm and wet so I'm not sure if they could do anything about it.

Good location Interior was dark, also dark ilumination in the bedroom and bathroom.

This hotel exceeded all expectations. It is very close to the Central Train station, so close that we walked, in the rain... It is also close to many restaurants, and the lake, and a mall, with a supermarket at the bottom. Would stay here again

Nice design We booked a twin room as a father and daughter. We arrived at 10PM only to be told they don't have a twin room and need to wait an hour until they can arrange one. We waited. We got a room for disabled with the A/B broken.

Good location too with close access to Hbf and to Hamburd downtown. Overall a very enjoyable stay and experience

My room was very clean. The facility was very quiet at night. No morning coffee or small breakfast available. I had to get coffee and breakfast down the street. The salmon in the restaurant was not good.

Close to railway station, hop on hop off bus stop and within walking distance of some major sites.

The hotel location could not be better as it’s easily accessible by foot from the train station, the lake, and the monuments in town. The room was very clean and quiet. The shower does not provide much privacy if you are sharing the room

First of all, I booked one Deluxe and and Deluxe with City-view. And they were exactly the same room looking at the same scene, which was not totally a city scene. It was just back of the couple of buildings. It was strange that even though I paid extra for a city view room, their scenes were exactly the same. Second of all, there were no waters in rooms. Zero. They have Nespresso machines, coffees, fridge, many many glasses but not a single bottle of water. I thought everywhere give it as a complimentary (just a single bottle of water). The last, the staff's attitude was not polite. They rebuff me whenever I asked for a help or a support.

Whole hotel provided good space and seating areas. Excellent restaurant and wonderful breakfast Very helpful reception staff. Marvellous location. I felt that there should have been better provision to hang towiels in the bathroom area. The rail in the shower was very high up and the little knobs on the side not good enough for the hand towels. I found the floor of the shower slippery when wet and as an 85 year old felt insecure. I asked if there could be a shower mat but obviously one could not be found. Also the little shelf in the shower was at the far end of the shower cubicle far from the shower unit so a little difficult if one wanted to use ones own shampoo for example

Very modern, clean, and staff are friendly. Bathroom has no door.
