Macalister Terraces Hotel

We had 2 of the 3 bedroom on ground level outside the main building. It was very noisy.

Great location. Staff is very friendly and helpful!

It had no breakfast this was a downside Location presentable A breakfast would have been a plus point

Strategically located, well maintained / recently renovated. Very nicely designed. Full of nice artworks (which are on sale). Very little downside: second floor and common area poorly cooled down.

I like the location & easy parking Nothing

The location is great. It’s very close to the Wisma MCA bus station and has all kinds of food options around it. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nothing.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and wanted to share information on places to eat and visit. The room and bathroom were very nice. They didn't have breakfast included but there are many places close by to eat. The view was the parking lot and might be nice to have a small garden in front of the room instead of cars.

The staff were friendly and helpful and outgoing The bed was comfortable. The place was very clean. Hot water was good. The location was okay. About 10-15 min walk to the closest bus stop/station and about the same to closest grocery store. They offered filtered water but it came from a small water dispenser that was awkward to fill water bottles and hot water kettles. Overall lighting in my room was all indirect so not as good for reading or looking over maps. Only an opaque window in my room that let in diffused light but no view outside. The general area offered to guests to sir and eat meals and clean up after themselves was very inadequate. No rags or towels to clean dishes and surfaces with and no microwave. This property is great for short stays but less so for longer stays.

The desk staff were amazing, Liza was welcoming, informative and very helpful to me. Always quick with suggestions to make my trip more enjoyable. Andy and Siah were also friendly and helpful. I liked the lounge areas to read or chill. I found the shower and glass in the bathroom could benefited from a good Clorox wipe down as there were stains or grime build up. More restaurants or coffee cafes closer would have been nice too,

It was nice place to stay in, the staff is very helpful and kind. Near to tourists spots and the room itself is big and clean.

I absolutely loved the vibe of this hotel! The decor was stunning -- I’m especially obsessed with the artworks! And the hanging plants added such an aesthetic touch. Also, can we talk about the bed? It was so comfortable! I’m usually quite picky with hotel beds, but this one was amazing. Honestly, all hotels should take notes. And a special shoutout to Liz for the warm welcome and for sharing great spots to visit—especially the food recommendations! I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye in person because of my early flight, but thank you so much!

Andy at front desk was so hospitable and attentive to our needs during the stay. He made the whole trip even better as he wrote us a list of bars and food destinations for us to visit during our time there! His recommendations were spot on <3

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was welcoming. Great location! My room had these glass portholes like windows into the center foyer of the hotel where it lit throughout the night. These little windows could not be blocked from inside the room so my room was illuminated all night long which made it difficult to sleep.

Location and convenient. Don’t need to walk a lot from car to room. At night, there was a non-guest lingering right outside our room (we stayed in a premium room with direct access to the car park). The individual, along with a group of friends, was making a lot of noise, taking selfies, and causing disturbance. He has spent close to an hour in front of our room. We hope management can look into this matter—perhaps by restricting access or locking the car park entrance after midnight (or around 10pm) to prevent non-guests from trespassing.

Nothing not to like.

This is a quality boutique hotel in a walkable location, to many attractions. We even found pickleball only a 5 minute walk away. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. A great value all around. The staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. A huge thank you to Liza and Sia. Bill, the owner, went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Thank you!

Our room had everything we needed. Very clean, big room big bath. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Nothing.

Some days the cleaners did not clean our room and he didn't clean that grass

Central location, Lovely staff and nice rooms Nothing

Location! Comfortable and clean, peaceful and quiet even during Thaipusam celebrations a walking distance away. Bed is comfortable and supportive. Guest parking at private compound with cctv makes me feel safe parking our 2 bikes without chain and lock. Will be good to be able to close the bathroom/toilet door from within the room so we don’t have to sleep with the door ajar.
