Concierge was great. Great dinner recommendations

The bathtub is skinny.

Beautiful and well kept building and facilities. Many non-hotel guests at the edge of the property consuming alcohol at all times of day.

This is a beautiful hotel that is private and quiet in a pretty convenient location. The first few days we arrived and the weather was 40 degrees Celsius and it was very challenging to tour in the area- the hotel was a nice oasis for us to come back and take a dip in the pool with our kids and sip spritzes before dinner. We stayed 3 nights before venturing off to Venice, Lake Como, and Milan and returned for a 4 night stay in Florence. We are currently on our 2nd stay and have only experienced great service. The restaurant staff at breakfast were so nice and the staff around the pool. When we left they left us a sweet gift and thanked us for the stay. This is an old palace converted to a hotel- on the extremely hot days it would take awhile for the rooms to cool to a tolerable temperature. This wasn’t a huge deal for us, but could be for some.

Easy walk from the train station in Florence. Absolutely lovely pool (the main selling point for us). The room was spacious and really beautiful. An excellent weekend retreat. The restaurant seemed a little too quiet/fancy for my young children so we did not go there but the staff made some excellent dinner recommendations in the area which suited us very well. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating to us and our children. The restaurant and bar overlook the pool so the pool is only open 11am-7pm (so as not to disturb guests having breakfast and dinner). That timing was fine for us but some guests might expect the pool to be opened earlier or later.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sina Villa Medici in Florence, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable—warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. The hotel itself is a masterpiece, blending classic Florentine elegance with modern comforts. My room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and offered a stunning view of the city. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. One of the highlights was the gorgeous garden and pool area, a peaceful oasis in the heart of Florence. It provided the perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing. The breakfast was outstanding, with a wide variety of local delicious options, from pastries, cheeses, salami, prosciutto, smoked salmon, warm buffet and fresh fruit . The quality of ingredients and the charming setting made for a perfect start to each day. The location is ideal—just a short walk from the city's main attractions like the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and Uffizi Gallery, yet tucked away enough to provide a sense of tranquility. Overall, Sina Villa Medici exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in Florence, this hotel is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

The rooms are big and the beds are very comfortable. At times we were cold. The beds need a winter quilt/blanket.

Nice bar area and spacious room Quite a lot of refurb works going on on our floor. Gym/spa area closed during our stay. At turndown one of the evenings, towels weren’t replaced so had to call down in the morning for fresh ones. Felt expensive for what it was.

Breakfast offerings were plentiful, varied and fresh. The option to sit inside or in the outside area near the garden was a bonus. Table settings were clean and spacious. Available coffee to go table was appreciated. Nothing

Breakfast, concierge service/information is fantastic, attention to detail from guest relations and all staff is incredible. Location is centrical and easy to come into Florence, without being in the central area. Also, the piano music everyday was very pleasant. To be within 10 min by car in the center of Florence, is easy and confortable. Some renovation in hallways (carpets) and to offer a nice Spa service (very limited)

The foyer and welcome area were very beautiful and it smelled incredible! The pool was beautiful too. We had an interconnected room, which was great for us as a family. Considering it was my first stay in a 5star hotel, I was quite disappointed.. the mattress had its days, the cleaner didn’t clean everyday, my kids got in trouble for splashing and playing in the pool- although i understand the pool area is a relaxing and calmer area, kids are still kids in the pool. The pool area beds were lined up on lawn, which I think had sprinklers. There was a sticky mud puddle on one side of the area and I steps right into it. It also attracted flies. It would have been nice to section it off, or make it more visible, to avoid. The bathroom shower was out of date and pieces in our shower kept falling off or moving, like the drainage cover. And when it came off you could see the dirt and bits in the drainage. Also the area were the hotel was located, was a bit not super safe, especially coming home when it’s dark with little kids! There is a little park next to the hotel, and every night after dinner when returning back, we had to go past groups or gang or maybe homeless, that would hang out there and drink and listen to loud music ect. In the morning there were alcohol bottles, sometimes drunken people sleeping on the ground and other things to find. It always made us very uncomfortable to walk past there. Although it’s not the issue of the hotel, it would have been nice to put it into the doscription or at least inform us upon our arrival about it. Anyway, Florence is my most favourite city and I was very excited to stay with my husband nd kids. We normally stay in 4* hotels and had always better quality stays. I never wrote a bad review, but considering the sum we payed for a 5*, I did expect more!
