The room was clean and spacious, the staff was very nice and accommodating. It was also pretty close walk to the facilities we wanted . What we didn't like was the horrible smell in the hallway and the room was very old fashioned with a dim light

I didn’t like the shower, the water was off and on during the shower. Everything else was normal, also the staff was not that much customer oriented as they didn’t find any other available room for the next night that I needed

Breakfast is very nice for the price, the toilets are very beautiful. There's a 24h coffee machine. I needed to get some paracetamol at night, so I contacted the hotel's "urgency number" to check for a first aid bag, no answer still. The equipment is old, it was cold even with the heat on.

Staff and the location in the city were nice. The room and bedsheets were dirty. The smell of the room and bathroom were bad and the door to the room wasn't closing entirely. The noises on the floor and from the street were massive until midnight. We booked another hotel and didn't stay.

The guy who checked us in was super nice and helpful. He gave us great tips on where to go in Florence, which made our trip so much easier. The breakfast was simple but good enough to get our day started. The location is just on the North-Eastern border of Florence ZTL zone, yet within 20-30 minute walking distance from all the historical city's landmarks, without paying a fortune for boutique hotels at the city's center. The rooms give an authentic warm and causy feel. The cleaning and kitchen staff were very friendly. There are actually 2 small hotels in the same building, and Hotel d'Azeglio is not the one located at street level but rather two stories up (2nd piano) with no elevator. This fact they quite deliberately hide from their website although the receptionist claimed it was mentioned but could not find it herself. Even when we let them know in advance we had very heavy luggage due to our one month honeymoon to Italy - they did not bother to mention it. The hotel is on the border of a ZTL no-entry area during the day, and was impossible to access by car even at night due to bus lane in one direcion and construction on the other. The building is very old and the at least in our room the bathroom was not recently renovated, with the paint literally pealing off the ceiling.
