Residence Inn by Marriott Akron Fairlawn

Quiet. Close to suburbia if you need to make a quick dash to a convenience store, grocery store, restaurant, etc. But it's also just 15 minutes from downtown. It truly is the best of both worlds. Free parking. Free breakfast. And even in the studio rooms, you get all of the amenities of home - couch, desk, two-seater high top table, and a kitchenette.

That being said, when we checked out, the staff was very apologetic, friendly, and did their best to address our concerns and make things right. We also enjoyed the breakfast, which was a great added bonus and made the stay even better. Despite the few maintenance issues, we had a positive experience and would absolutely stay here again.

How loud the a/c was kept making a buzzing noise

I cannot comment on any one thing. Everything was perfect. The breakfast was perfect the room was nice and clean and spacious. The staff was very kind and helpful.

It’s a fine property, very typical Residence Inn, nothing special. Just seemed a bit far from any real attractions, in a very suburban / corporate part of greater Cleveland

All staff were amazing. Hotel had all the needed amenities including a kitchen in the room. Breakfast was included and was very good. Would return on a future stay.

We had a great stay. The staff were incredibly helpful, let us leisurely leave the pool a little past closing hours either out being pushy. Very happy! The hot tub was hot which was a major plus for us.

It’s so nice to have somebody who is actually nice to you when you are checking in. Very friendly; that’s honestly that’s hard to find at hotels today. The hotel itself has always been clean and the rooms have always been nice. One of my favorite places to stay.

The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the variety. Taste and temperature of the food and coffee was good. The room was clean and comfortable. The microwave door wouldn't open due to improper installation, but that wasn't a big deal, as we seldom used it. We reserved this facility partially because of the indoor pool. When we arrived, we found the pool was out of order, and it remained so for the duration of our stay. The General Manager agreed to discount our rooms as a result, but she only did so for the first day of the stay. We were traveling for a funeral, and my grandchildren were giving up their spring break, so we wanted them to at least have the pool for enjoyment. Also, the HVAC system in our room was loud and inefficient. There was a peculiar smell unless we left the fan running continuously.

Hot tub was down and broken....however the front staff was incredible and would stay again !!

Very happy with the service. Hotel tile shower was very nice and modern , although I prefer a bath. Breakfast was very good. My husband didn't care for the pre-made waffles, as he prefers fresh ones. Pool and hot tub were down, but we were given the option of canceling our reservation on check-in. Overall suite was very well appointed with desk, pull out couch, stainless steel full size fridge and dishwasher. Bed was comfortable. Service was perfect.

Very great hotel to stay rooms are big and comfortable and they have breakfast in the morning so you don’t have to leave for breakfast

Got there at 4:00pm on valentines Day, only to find out that the pool was down for maintenance. It would have been nice to have received a phone call earlier that day so we could make the plans.
