Hotel on busy street, noisy. Room was dingy with an old outdated fridge & microwave, hair on sheets, stains on box spring cover. Bed was very noisy. New “updated” room had Shelf in bathroom falling off of wall (held up by cups & toilet paper on bottom shelf) Landscaping overgrown, with snowblower in front of room doors. Bread on grass covered in ants. After I complained about the room the guy told me that if I wanted better that I should have gone to a Marriott or Hyatt and that he wasn’t going to give me a refund but would show me other rooms that are available. I ended up buying blankets to sleep on. Loud music or TV playing most of the night, 2 am truck picking up dumpster or something.

The place has been update with new flooring, bathroom upgrade. Very clean, comfortable and staff very friendly. We love a motel that you can park right in front of your room. Ground level.

I had never vacationed at Erie before but will be returning any time I can! The Glass House was perfect for our family! It was clean, served breakfast, and had an outdoor heated pool. Everything we came in contact with was well maintained and clean. The bathroom had been renovated and was very nice! It was perfect for our stay. I liked that it was family run and it almost felt like a B&B. I prefer staying at small town family run hotels and this was exactly what we were looking for! We stayed 3 nights and wished we could have extended our stay. It is extremely close to Presque Isle beaches, Waldameer, lots of restaurants and we found a great chocolate store called Romolo! Each night we watched the sunset at the beach and stopped at Sarah’s for their ice cream!

Great stay for the price. Parking was readily available. Had any amenity I needed. Staff was polite and helpful. Clean! I would recommend it to anyone who likes an older Mom and Pop motel style. The breakfast was a bit lacking, but was available.

Perfect place and just what we needed for a one night stay. I will for sure be staying here again on my trips from IL to NY and back.

They promised a "garden view," but there was no garden. Very mediocre property.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Very reasonable rates. Room and bathroom and AC were all great. Bathrooms look newly done. Nice family running the place. The outside is very motel like and the front desk could use a redo… but worth the money. They have a little free breakfast w cereal waffle maker fruit donuts etc which was just fine!

Ok if you want cheap. Small, vary tight bathroom with extremely small sink and no place to set toiletries. Some mold in shower. No vent fan. AC window unit very loud. Mattress warn. Television service bad.

Great value for a business stay

Black Mold on shower head No towel rack No grab bar in shower Toilet paper holder was broken . There was Nowhere to put your hygiene items in the shower . No shelves, nothing. The Coffee maker leaked all the water out. I had to ask for towels and toilet paper . Do better ! I like staying here , I just don’t want to experience this again.

Our two complaints were that the mattress was very hard and the breakfast had no protein options (no eggs, yogurt, etc.).

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Parking was convenient, staff was helpful however the bathroom was very small. Did not get a chance to go to breakfast.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Bathroom was really small and lacked shelves, hooks or towel bars. Couch was not clean. Mold in the shower. Breakfast was fine. Communication with staff was difficult.

Great motel. Was able to park and unload 5 feet from the door. Windows were able to be open. Bathroom was updated. Less than a 5 minute drive to the beach plus shopping close by. Comfy beds and lots of surface space in the room so nothing had to sit on the floor.

The light continental breakfast was surprisingly decent, had a waffle maker and fresh coffee plus some pastries. We didn’t use the pool but that’s nice to have. Overall I think this is a great choice on a budget, but I wouldn’t pay more than $150/night personally.

It was like staying in a little cottage. Very clean , you could tell they thought about a person being away from home…and room had it all. Definitely would stay again.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The room was small, but adequate. We slept very soundly, even though the accommodations weren't up to current standards. Back in the 1960s/]70s the motel would have been excellent. You get what you pay for, so it is fine - and much more affordable than the major hotels that were highly over-priced with costs per night in the $400-$600 range!

This is a great place to stay in Erie! It is close to downtown, it is very quiet and well maintained. We were only there 1 night so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool. I felt like I was staying at an Air B&B not a motel. Check in and out was easy and quick! I will definitely be back!

Room was very clean. Motel style was perfect for my family's travel as we visited the local "beach" . Location was perfect, although I did notice being able to hear the cars pass by, it's a busier road than i thought. Not a deal breaker for us. Nice pool, decent breakfast provided. Heads up it feel like a BB style, 3 large dining tables. My kids loved the waffles you could make. Basic light breakfast cereal, muffins, mini donuts, fruit and waffles. All in all I would stay here again.
