The location was excellent. A short walk to/from both the railway station and city centre. The bed was comfortable. The main entrance doors were filthy. Dirty carpet, lack of air freshener throughout, smell of sewage coming from the sinkhole, sink plug broken, shower head feel several times because it didn't fit the bracket, leaking air con which dripped the whole night and the smell of spilt beer beneath the bedside table (was still wet). The lights in the room aren't soft enough and it was hard to strike a balance for a relaxing setting The reception/bar area is devoid of any soul. I stayed here many years ago and the difference is stark. It's uninviting and dark.
