Good and clean Quite at night
-
missed mini refrigerator
-
the main disappointment is the squeaky floor, non functioning room temperature control, high above the ground bath tube, not very comfortable bed.

Facility
-
In the old town Furniture is all dark medieval and uncomfortable, including bed. Too many tour groups stay there. Bar was never open even in the early evenings.

The breakfast was amazing! Also the location was great. I would expect much much more from a 5 star hotel. First day the water wasn't warm enough, the second day it was ok. The bathroom is very old and not in a good way. When we arrived the room was so cold that it didn't feel so good after a rainy day. We only got 1 card for the room so we had to call or wake each other when having separate programs. Parking was extremely pricey. Etc.. So again, I would want to get a wow experience from a 5* hotel and not an average stay.

Location, Breakfast = Fantastic Wifi very very slow- On / Off Very expensive parking = 33 euros a day

Parking price absolutely ridiculous. Design and decorations dated.
-
Good location and room was characterful and comfortable. Parking arrangements (unable to reserve) and lack of guidance or help with bags on arrival. Bar closed. Restaurant closed. Terrace closed; nowhere for coffee or refreshments. Public spaces empty and dark.
-
Not the best mistresses, late check-in (3pm).

The old rooms were done up very well, with a comfy bed and antique feel. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely with a wide range of options. Nothing

The antique interior design and furniture are awesome. Twin beds were extremely narrow and small in size and what was worse the mattresses were old and sagging. You could get your back ache. The floor of the room is covered with wooden planks which were so old, making creaky noise when step on. The hotel seems somewhat lacking of hands. Only one staff covered the reception desk. Most of the guests are not allowd to pull their car over in front of the hotel to get their luggages off. I saw some tour group in large number pulled over the SUV in front of the hotel. Means you don't go through drawing your luggage along the rough stone road if you are in a big group. Only breakfast is served at the hotel restaurant, the breakfast was so so, nothing special.

We stayed there in April 2025. The staff was friendly, and areas like the lobby and dining section were beautifully designed. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed except for breakfast. The breakfast itself was excellent — it left nothing to be desired. A wider variety of bread would have been nice, but overall it was a great start to the day. The room, however, was very run-down — definitely not up to 5-star standards (see pictures). The bed was incredibly hard: two pushed-together singles with thin mattresses. We don’t mean the building’s age — that can be charming — but rather the lack of care in repairs and maintenance. There was a loud wedding party going on well into the night, and we could hear it through all the closed windows and doors. Only the pool is included in the price; sauna, whirlpool, and other spa facilities cost extra. Getting to the pool requires quite a walk — you have to go through the bar area in a bathrobe (in our case, right through a wedding reception). Robes and slippers are only included in the higher room categories. Would we come back? No. For this price, there are far more pleasant options in Český Krumlov.

The location of the hotel, the staff and in the room just the bed and the bathroom. The hotel is not at the level of a luxury five star hotel. The description and photos on booking are misleading. The hotel rooms on the third floor, which we saw because that was where our room was, are very small with windows so small that when we entered the room we thought there were no windows (see photos). The view from the tiny windows is the rooftop of the hotel and not the beautiful view as it is written in the description. They look like monastery cells and not five-star hotel rooms. Our room was large but half of it was empty with two by chairs and an empty mini bar!!! If we wanted something to drink we had to go down to buy it at the grocery-reception where they were drinks for sale!!! They asked us for a 40€ deposit at check-in for possible purchases at the reception-grocery store of the deluxe hotel! There were no bathrobes and slippers in the room and when I asked for them at the reception they told me that we should have to pay for them additionally because our room was cheap and we were not entitled to have them for free!!! The hotel restaurant was not working, it was closed without being mentioned in the hotel description. The hotel parking is open without security but with a charge of 33€ per day!!! We have never paid such an amount for parking anywhere in the world, especially in five-star hotels where parking is closed and controlled and of course is free for the hotel guests. Conclusion: this hotel would be good for a three stars hotel and not for five stars. We are in the tourist business for about fifty years. We have never been in a situation like this, private or professional trips, due to the hotel.

No clue why the systems thinks I`m from Switzerland - I am Austrian ;-) Location is nice, with a nice view over Krumau as well. Rooms have been clean and old fashion styled - which is ok because it is an old hotel. Breakfast was good as well. Related parking space booked out. Next save (directly by the police station) public parking space is about 500m away. Daily fee is about 30EUR, which you are not made aware during the booking process. A real nightmare was the spring core matress, which I`d assume was more than 20ys old. Some of the steel tips were not covered properly anymore and made their way through the sheet. You don`t see that on first sight but you feel it when laying down. So I waked up slightly scratched. The reception language was eng/spanish with no/low german coverage, which was weired because my wife is from CZ. Additionally I strongly recommend to make sure what the costs are in case you are travelling with dogs/animals. The service may is up to 30EUR a day.

We got a room upgrade with a huge bed and large room. The bathroom had a bath tub. The breakfast was the best breakfast ever :) Lots of fresh fruits and bakery and many different savoury options . Would have been good to know that you cannot drive a car up to the hotel. You need to get a parking voucher at the tourist information in order to get a reduced rate at the parking lots outside town.

Great Location, large rooms, nice historical furniture Some items not fully up to 5 star standard (no bathrobe or slippers in room, no toilet articles in room, no parking service)

Very good
