Hotel EMI

I booked this because it's "close to the airport" and I was arriving late and flying out early. I would never stay here if I wanted to experience the beautiful city and food of Bologna! My second-floor room had a private patio that was bigger than the room itself. There's no elevator/life, but the staff helped me get my bag up up to the room. The pizza restaurant downstairs was good. It's close enough to the airport to watch jets take off from the patio. It's close to the airport, but it's a 40-minute walk, mostly on a busy, dark road around the airport that has no sidewalks! If the hotel staff offers the night before to help with a taxi, take the offer. There is almost nothing else around here other than a medium-sized Conad market with strange hours and a couple of diners. Fortunately, the restaurant under the hotel is good.

I had a 6AM airline flight so the location was great for that. The pizza was good and at a good price. The balcony was nice if you like watching planes takeoff air conditioning worked well. Shower was not fully operational. The valve switching from the hand wand to the overhead was broken. The friction device that is supposed to hold the wand up hier was also broken

Super close to the Bologna airport, the food is excellent and the staff are wonderful Nothing

The hotel was clean and the restaurant downstairs was also very nice. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Ironically the airport noise wasn’t bad but some shoes on the stairs and floor above were louder than the aircraft taking off and landing.

Clean with nice staff. There are complaints about the airport noise which is totally understandable given the location. On the other hand, the noise from the bar/restaurant needs to be mitigated from the rooms. This is controllable.

Flexibility of check in.

There was a bit of a smell coming from the bathroom, and it can get noisy at times due to the airplanes.

It’s understandable but the lack of a lift was a little daunting on the way down with luggage at 5 am. Otherwise, it was a good choice for an early morning flight.

Earplugs thoughtfully provided to counteract the occasional overhead flight (the hotel is located right next to runway). Otherwise the hotel is remarkably quiet. Convenient to the airport even though a taxi is still required. I always stay here when flying out of Bologna with an early morning flight. Very good restaurant/Pizzeria on site. Excellent value provided with reasonable prices

The stay at Emi was all we expected with easy access to the airport for the morning flight. We chose the hotel solely by location - did not want to have a long drive in the morning traffic before an 9.30 a.m. flight. We were happily surprised. We got to park our rental car outside the hotel, everything was clean and comfortable and Luca was a great host. The planes dis not disturb us, we slept well (in reference to other feedback from guests). And after all, if you book a hotel right next to the runway, one should be silly to not understand that you can hear the planes take off. ? After 8 days around Italy, we had our best breakfast croissants here at 7 in the morning, before heading home.

Proximity to the airport and very quaint place And restaraunt Emi downstairs! Nothing .. but some may be bothered by airplane noise

The suite was very nice. The hotel owner was fantastic went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The restaurant was top notch, food, and the wait staff was exceptional They warned us that being so close to the airport. It was quite loud however the planes didn’t take off or land all night long. It was from 6 AM to around 10 PM. Other than that being close to the airport was a bonus.

We liked everything about this hotel.

Nice boutique hotel on the residential side of the airport. Lovely restaurant on the first level. Extremely helpful staff, clean and neat decor, made this an excellent experience. The 91/81 bus just down the street from the hotel will take you to the Bologna train station. It runs frequently. With help from staff, we took a taxi around to the airport to fly out. Very smooth logistics, great experience!

The location was perfect. Very easy to get to the airport. The breakfast was good, but it was supposed to be included with the room and she made me pay 10 euros.

The room cleanliness, and the staff support. Feels like home. Depending on the room you can see the airport runway. Great for aviation lovers. A bit far from the city but very close to the airport. However theres also a bus station of 7 min walking distance that can take you to the city.

Room ok with everything You need there. clean and tidy Restaurant on site with great food. Close to airport but at other side of it so need time to go around to get to it. We had a room right above restaurant so quite loud from there because it is very busy Sat night. Also loud from airport but we expected this coz of location. Ok for one night. Found ear plugs in the room and was ok.
