Hostal San Telmo - Adults Only

Maria was lovely and really helpful. It was quiet. I got to meet her beautiful doggies. Just a really comfortable and nice place and fitted my needs perfectly. I would say it was expensive but cheaper than other hotels in the area. I think mallorca is extraordinarily expensive so by comparison this place was good value for money for mallorca.

The location was good, the room I had in the basement was relatively fresh, upon request I got a hairdryer, it was quiet, the small bed was comfy, the pool looked nice and maintained The basement room (no.2) was quite dark, had no view, no fridge, the fan was ok (no aircon), the safe /security box was inoperative (key?)

Was really good value for money! The pool was great, staff was nice and the beach is so close by. Would have been perfect if there was air conditioning, as it was very hot. The fan at night is nice, but it doesn’t help much when there is 30+ degrees.

Nice and helpful receptionist. Little terrace within our room. Room cleaned every day. Swimming pool. Location just 2 mins walk from the beach, shops and restaurant plus 15 mins by car to the airport. Could not lock the windows in the room. Felt bit unsafe as it is very easy for anyone to climb in. No air con just fan. It was making loud sound in the night but we could not turn it off as room was hot as hell. No fridge! We drunk a warm water for the whole stay.

This was an excellent place to stay and was exactly what we needed for a group of friends on a 5 day trip! The rooms were a good size and were very clean; the towels were changed regularly. We were a group of four and were able to get two rooms beside each other which was more than ideal. Both rooms had a balcony which was lovely and the pool was really nice and clean. It felt safe also as the property has a gate with a code that locks every night. This was also a great location as we had planned many day trips out, as it is a 2 minute walk to the stop for the bus that can take you into Palma in 15/20mins, it was also very easy to order an Uber to other places nearby. It is also a 5 minute walk down to Cala Major beach, which is a beautiful beach with clear water and has lovely restaurants on the waterfront. Lastly, the area of Cala Major is great as it has plenty of choices for dinner which would suit all ages, in walking distance, and has an enjoyable nightlife scene. The staff was lovely and we enjoyed our stay! Our only issue was that there is no air conditioning, but there was an electric fan attached to the wall in the room.

Unfortunately, it was too noisy at night, as many guests like to talk very loud at night and in the mornings the stuff talked really loud, not taxi to account that some people could be sleeping and be disturbed because of their loud conversations. Apart from that. If guests were advised to be more considerate of others and talk half voice, as well as the stuff in the morning. Also, at least a glass and a mug in the room would be helpful.

The room was so small,without door in the toilet,without air condition and I also found a scorpion in the toilet.

Nothing. Horrible stay. Starting with the extremely rude and ill-mannered host that didn't accommodate to any of our requests. Refused to change sheets and said that they're only changed once a week, which means we could be sharing the same sheets with the guest before us. Refused to give us hot water although we could see that she had a boiler. Refused to let us check in early, even for 5 mins, even though the room was ready, and we were visibly tired. Refused to help us talk on the phone to the police in spanish when we had an urgent situation. And we went to the hotel across the street and they helped us right away and even ordered us a taxi. Horrible manners and is in no way fit to run a hostel. Room was disgusting. Toilet was very unclean at arrival. As said, request to change sheets was denied. NO AC, unbearable to sleep or even stay in due to the extreme heat. A lot of mosquitoes, due to uncleanliness. People from outside were coming in all the time to use the pool so this causes a huge safety hazard. Way overpriced.

Passable

The hostel was clean, and the owner was very organized and attentive. She addressed our needs multiple times and accommodated our requests as much as possible. The hostel lacks essential services such as the ability to make coffee, a communal refrigerator to store water, or a hairdryer, although the latter was kindly provided immediately upon request. Additionally, there was no common room to encourage socializing with other travelers or to offer the aforementioned services. There was also no way to purchase water or beverages within the hostel, which forced us to endure a night without water in the high temperatures typical of Palma de Mallorca.

Property is very basic backpackers extremely overpriced for facilities. But add is accurate to what it is in Photos are also accurate. Overall safe and reasonably clean. Beds were hard.

The location was very accessible and close to the beach. The pool facilities were great. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the fan in each room helped with the heat. Could have a mini fridge in the rooms to allow some food storage.
