Beautiful boutique property nearby for walking and biking paths Spa was dated, dark and water barely warm - but still relaxing

The staff were very helpful and contacted us to make sure we would arrive on time and even waited for us to arrive as the border control at the ferry was very slow. The duvet was much too heavy for a summer's night so it was difficult to sleep and the pillow was very uncomfortable.

Location The wc had a very bad smell to it. The bathroom had a shower in the middle of the room, no curtain. Strange configuration.

Bed was super comfortable, a big room, amazing restaurant for dinner, great staff. Good location, parking Great location to drive each day to a different direction The floor is a carpet and didn’t feel clean. No think in the toilet room you have to go to the shower in order to wash your hands

Room and restaurant Lobby hot and humid
-
The room was comfortable and the bathroom was amazing The location - 10 minutes drive from the old city, breakfast was ok but not a lot of variety
-
The room is very small, especially we were assigned with a room with pitched roof. We couldn't even stand straight when taking shower.

I really like the staff and the bedroom. It is so nice and not far away from the center.

Passable

Room was very nice and the restaurant experience was excellent! Parking lot was a little tight.
-
Very spacious rooms and well equiped, breakfast is excellent, the restaurant is exceptional. The hotel staff is very friendly, professional and efficient. The rooms need more closets and drawers

Private parking, willingness to store luggage, and water in the rooms. Other than that there is not more good to say about this property. What a bloody nightmare! First off, the hotel itself is a mess! Walking in, I was hit by a wave of stale air like they hadn’t opened a window in months. The décor? A confusing mishmash of styles that makes no sense – are we in a funeral parlor or a rundown motel? Honestly, I've seen better atmospheres in an abandoned warehouse. And the SERVICE! Oh, my God, don’t even get me started on the staff. Rude, unprofessional, and couldn’t care less about the guests. It’s like they’ve all taken a crash course in how NOT to treat people. Want a warm welcome? Go elsewhere. You’ll be lucky if you don’t get an eye-roll for asking for basic things like clean towels or, heaven forbid, a smile. There is always just one person at the counter that prefers the restaurant guests over the hotel guests, even more the Hotel is supposed to be a '5* Spa Hotel'. The rating does not make sense at all. The "SPA": Looked more like a torture room than a 5-star SPA area. Dark, uninviting and it stank. This is really not how you imagine a top-notch SPA area to look and feel like. Now, the GYM. Are you serious? Outrageous doesn’t even cover it. It’s a joke! A couple of rusty machines in a cramped, windowless room that smells like someone’s been using it as a locker room for decades. I wouldn’t let my worst enemy work out there. If I wanted to get tetanus while lifting weights, maybe this would be the place, but come on—this is supposed to be a luxury hotel? Pull the other one. Avoid this place like the plague. Hôtel Ivan Vautier? More like Hôtel Ivan *Nightmare*. It’s a slap in the face to anyone expecting even the bare minimum of comfort. Trust me, save your money, your sanity, and your sense of smell – book *anywhere* else. Once we told the staff - also what seemed to be the owner of the hotel - that we would like to have a discount since we do not feel like this hotel meets our expectations, she just answered very ignorantly that this is absolutely not possible.
-
Location Vaulted ceiling with large obstruction limited size of room. Staff was not friendly Limited staff speaking any English Bed was extremely hard. Safe in room did not work. Breakfast was mediocre for $18 euros. Room did not close when you shut the door.
-
The bed was very comfortable The walls of the room was very thin , could hear the person in the next room shower and go to the bathroom
-
Car parking Location, hotel lacked atmosphere, no hot water all week despite this being brought to the attention of the staff. No bar and the hotel seemed soulless
