The Buena Park Grand Hotel & Suites

Nothing!! Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The pictures online were very misleading and the room was nothing like what I expected. The bathroom was in terrible condition—the door would not close, so we had to use the restroom with the door open. The toilet also became clogged, and we went an entire day without being able to use the bathroom. The customer service was just as disappointing. When I checked in around 11 PM, the front desk employee explained everything to me, and she was aware that I had a pet. Everything seemed fine at first. However, the next day, I took my dog outside and was unable to get back into the hotel. The manager had locked me out because I had not paid a $150 pet deposit. This was especially frustrating because the night before, I had been told the pet deposit was $100, which I had no problem paying. The manager’s attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. I also felt that her appearance and presentation did not reflect the level of professionalism I would expect from someone in a management position. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because it advertised being pet-friendly and offering breakfast. Unfortunately, my experience did not feel pet-friendly at all, and breakfast was not provided as expected. Overall, the condition of the room, lack of a usable bathroom, poor communication, and customer service made this stay extremely frustrating. I would never stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially people traveling with pets.

Needs updating. No TV in living room, shower was Luke warm at best but property looked nice

Exceptional

Biggest negative is the lack of hot water. Had to move to another room. Whoever installed the handle to adjust was not experienced. One had to turn it on slightly, as if in a normal way turning the handle all the way would result in hotter water. The opposite for many of the rooms, with complaints from others. The pool was green until after the weekend when they finally shocked and cleaned. Way too much bacteria in the jacuzzi even after the shock treatment. Coffee was stale in the early morning, needing to be made fresh or made in smaller batches. Inconsistent service with TV connection

The privacy shutters on the door were all broken, half of the light switches didn't work. When we went to the front desk they moved us to another room. Neither had a courtyard view, room wasn't clean, the fridge didn't work, no ice or vending machines were available, the room/gate key stopped working, and the elevator stopped working right as is opened up for me. I thought I was getting a ground floor room by the pool and that didn't happen. The front desk people at check in said they had none available because they were being renovated but the manager the next day said that was a lie. Awful place to stay.

I like the patio decor I disliked that it had false advertising they said on the booking website there was free breakfast and they had no breakfast it was embarrassing and the nights we stayed were awful their AC did not work in the room and I requested to move room and no one acomodaded me in a new room . They only had 2 two very small towels that were not enough . They gave me the worst room near the remodel section toward the very back and I had paid for the patio view. I had the dumpster view . Will never stay there again . The guy that worked the counter was very unpleasant and his customer service was a -10/ 10 .

Staff was nice They had roaches and the facility needs an upgrade. Room smelled and bathroom door didn't work. Water pressure not good.

Only thing that truly saved this hotel was the plenty of parking and walking distance to Knott’s Berry Farm.

The hotel had mold on the pull out bed and a weird smell. The hotel needs a lot of work.

Good place to rest after a long day at knott's with the family

Great location, comfortable , had good AC Bathtub was dirty or stained . Elevator needed a refresh, was pretty beat up inside

Rooms are very outdated and smell like mold/smoke. Staff was very helpful and polite. Pool was fun for the kids enough lounge chair for everyone and pretty chill. Hotel is big has much potential and walking distance to a lot!

How close is to the shows It was outage and dirty

The main problem is the ac didn't work. It was 85 degrees in the room most of the stay. It only went down to 81, because it rained in the night. A repair man came. He said he was going to look on the roof and return. He never came back. I went to the front desk again, someone came and said they couldn't do anything because the repair man was gone.

Bad

Low end, a bunch of gangster dudes carrying their cases of beer back to their rooms, did not feel safe or clean.
