La Magnolia B&B

Sara and Franca (and their dog, Margot!) were wonderful hosts, warm and welcoming and making us feel like we were family guests. Sara made dinner reservations for us at two of their favorite restaurants and explained a food allergy to the restaurants ahead of time so we knew they would be safe for us to enjoy. We enjoyed breakfast each morning, including homemade bread and cakes, served in a cozy, pleasant atmosphere open to the garden. The rooms were impeccably clean and very cozy, and overall the house provided a quiet, comfortable base to return to after a day out in the city. The location is about a 20-minute walk from the city center, and we enjoyed the quieter neighborhood, closer to the start of the walk up to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca, a recommended experience when visiting Bologna.

Everything was perfect, thanks to Franka and Sarah for their care and attention. The room with a terrace is spacious, everything is thought out to the smallest detail, excellent air conditioning, which saved us from the heat, a wonderful delicious breakfast with delicious homemade bread and pies. I advise you to immediately arrange for a spacious underground parking space in the garage in the neighboring building, Nothing. every detail was perfect

We received excellent direction from the train station from the B&B staff. The home made breakfast items. Family run. They made you feel like you were old friends welcomed back. Nothing

The owners are amazing! Sara really took care of us and helped with taxi and dinner reservations. The pastries for breakfast were homemade and excellent. The location was an easy 15 min walk to the center of town and there were a couple.of good restaurants 5 min walk. I highly recommend and would stay there again.

Though hard to visualize, the room was in a two story building erected in the middle of an apartment building courtyard with a garden and magnolia trees. This created total privacy, eliminated street noise and felt like a small oasis. Our hosts were very helpful, warm and kind making the experience feel more like a family visit rather than a rental arrangement. Breakfast was very good, our room size was more than adequate and comfortable with its own small balcony and sitting area. The location was close to the historic center, always felt safe and had many options for coffee, restaurants and other local stores. Nothing negative to share. Note that street parking requires some searching so it is highly recommended to ask for a parking spot to be reserved at the property.

The "hotel" is family owned and the staff is members of the family, so the environment is very friendly. Before I even arrived they were very helpful by providing me information on how to get there. My room was on the ground floor and the windows of my room didn't have good shutters, so I didn't feel fully private. I'm expecting that in every other room this should be very different.

The host and her family were absolutely wonderful. They were extremely helpful and loads of fun. Parking is always a challenge in Italy but the parking here was perfect. It was right across the street. The location was easy walking distance to sightseeing, tours, restaurants and bars. We felt extremely safe walking late at night. We would stay there again .

The room and bathroom were immaculate, as was the breakfast room. The bathroom was spotless and gave the appearance of being brand new. The bed was very comfortable and a decent sized room. About a 10 minute walk to the centre but also on the bus route too. Franca, the owner, was very friendly and helpful with advice regards buses, travel and where to go in Bologna. I'd definitely stay here again if I ever return to Bologna There was nothing I didn't like. I'd recommend this b&b to all.

Sara and Mum were great hosts, very welcoming and helpful in booking a restaurant too. Lovely breakfast, quiet location really close to all the sites, nice restaurants and bars.

Lovely family run B&B and Sara the main host is exceptional, throughout our visit she made sure we had everything we needed and was available to give advice on how to get to the main piazza, shops etc. and recommendations for dinner. Nothing, it was perfect.

Really nice, comfortable and very clean and quiet so got a good nights sleep. Sara and her mum were really lovely, and go out of their way to make sure the guests are comfortable and happy, and were really helpful. Would definitely stay again if ever in Bologna.
