Great location, good value for money and the host was super helpful. There could have been a table in the kitchen for eating at.

It was very convenient and had everything we needed. The noise from the common room carries into the bedroom quite easily so it might be important to put a notice when there’s somebody in the other room or just warn people that it is very loud in the private rooms if people are loud in the common room.

The location is perfect: it’s within easy walking distance to the city center, so you can explore everything comfortably on foot, but at the same time it’s very convenient for the airport (around €20 by taxi), which made both arrival and departure stress-free. We arrived very early in the morning (around 7 AM), and even though check-in wasn’t available yet, we were able to leave our luggage at the B&B without any problem. This small detail made a big difference, as we could start exploring the city right away. Donato was an exceptional host—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. He gave us great recommendations for places to visit and especially where to eat, and all of them were authentic local spots, not tourist traps. Thanks to him, we experienced some truly amazing food and discovered places we wouldn’t have found on our own. The room itself was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we felt very well taken care of throughout our stay. I would absolutely recommend Il Cantuccio B&B to anyone visiting Bologna, and I will definitely come back!

Amazing in every way.Simple but lovely Heloful staff, excellent breakfast, local area. Quiet No windows in room only overhead. Vey small shower and hot but last room avail.

Donato was incredibly accommodating and friendly, ensuring our stay in Bologna was comfortable and enjoyable. He provided valuable tips on local cuisine, like recommending tortellini in brodo, and suggestions for exploring Bologna’s highlights. He was attentive, checking to ensure everything was okay. The room was clean and comfortable, exactly what we were looking for, and the location was safe, convenient, and within a short walk of Piazza Maggiore, restaurants, and Bologna Centrale station. Thanks to Donato’s hospitality, our trip was unforgettable. We highly recommend his accommodation!

Very nice room A little more clarity that there is a bathroom OUTSIDE the room. It was ok, but the write ho should clearly state this room has a private bath in the hall.

Easy walking from the station, essential for this overnight stay in Bologna. En-suite bedroom with shared kitchen facility. Balcony overlooking Porta delle Lame. Check in easy, the owner Donato was helpful and welcoming giving good advice on locality and restaurant choices for our evening in Bologna. Nothing, perfect for our needs.

Host was extremely friendly and helpful. He gave us a lot of tips of places to visit and how to navigate getting from the apartment to the airport. It was a little noise in the morning, but nothing too bad.

Staff was really engaged, attentive and helpful and helpful. Room was large. Location was great, around 15 minutes walk from the center. The water in the shower was not hot enough. It was warm, but not as hot as we like it. It's a basic requirement you expect from hotels and apartments - to provide hot water in the shower. They tried to fix it for us, but it didn't help. Also the WIFI connection was pretty bad. We wanted to watch a series on my laptop and had to connect to my phone's cellular package to watch it properly.
