I was able to book last minute. I was greeted warmly. The accommodation was very cozy.
-
It was very clean and in a very quiet area, only drawback was the floor that was quite cold but overall great experience Bed could have been a bit more comfortable but overall good value for the money

I was placed in a different property than written in the advertisement. The area is dirty and I did not fell safe. At 10p.m., when I was about to get asleep, it turned out that I was not alone in the apartment, as there was another guest in another room.

Breakfast was help yourself : I was expecting to have fresh products for instance bread rolls and fruits but these items were not provided. The following products were available for breakfast: cereal, cookies, crispy bread similar to Ryvita, rice cake, jams, yoghurts, milk, one type of cheese and one type of ham. Luckily, Penny supermarkt was walking distance from the property so I bought my own food. I could not lock my room from inside which was a major issue and I did not feel safe. The front door (property) was always left unlocked during the day or at night although I locked it when I left for the day. My neighbour next to my room who behaved inappropriately and was very noisy. Woke me up several days during the night (00:00am or 3:00am). Noisy door knobs which could have a little bit of WD-40. Language barrier.

The breakfast was good and plentiful. The lady who received us was a fraud because she collected 30 EURO tourist tax from us for a 2-day stay (a family of 5 with 2 adults and 3 children aged 13, 12, and 7, she checked our passports). After our stay, I checked that children up to 14 years old are exempt from the otherwise 4 EURO/person/night tax, so the fair fee would have been 16 EURO. It's not about the amount itself, and I didn't mention it during our stay, but the attitude is outrageous, deceiving the guests. We arrived at the accommodation late at night, around half-past nine, and were given two rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchenette. The next morning, it turned out that another guest was also using our bathroom, which the (fraud) lady "forgot" to inform us about upon our arrival. I had reserved a separate area with a private bathroom and kitchenette and was upset that we were deceived because they didn't have such an area. On the morning of our departure, it became apparent that the accommodation we had booked actually existed, with a separate bathroom and kitchenette, but someone else stayed there, not us, despite us having paid for it. On our departure, I pointed this out to the host, who said that due to an earlier plumbing issue, the walls were still damp in the accommodation we paid for, and that's why they didn't put us there. They were concerned about the children's health, she said. But why didn't they tell us this information upon our arrival? Why only on our departure, when I confronted them with the fact that they didn't accommodate us in the place we paid for??? I'm afraid this was once again about deception.

The location is one of the cheapest in Bologna, but offers quite nice experience. The check in was not perfect but we manage to communicate at end :). The apartment was in the small building but with its charm. The dolphins are everywhere. The children just loved the place. It was in the basement which was surprise, but in the 40C outside it was perfect and pleasant. Its fully equipped. Also, the breakfast is also diverse and nice overall. There is a parking on the spot. I paid accommodation in advance, but at the check in paid city tax 15Euro for two person and two children. I am not sure that this is correct calculation. For children it free and for two adults its not 7,5 per day ;)
