It is a gorgeous hotel with attention to detail in every aspect. Breakfast was an event daily with beautiful table setting and amazing food. We were the only 2 guests and the staff could not be more attentive. Whole setup

So charming!!! The staff is wonderful, the house is beautiful. Nothing.

The property is beautiful & well maintained! It was extremely clean and in a great location.

Our unit had a big smear of brown stain on toilet bowl and wall. The heater wasn’t really working well.
-
Outstanding staff; attention to every little detail to make the stay comfortable and homey. The best part is the hot waterbottle at bed turndown. Lovely breakfast.

Lack of hot water and limited breakfast options.

The houses are just magnificent. Our room was super cozy. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We could take snacks and beverages in the kitchen. The whole stay was just incredible. We wish we stayed longer. We felt right at home.

Lovely people, fab design, top location. Nothing

We were really excited to stay here after reading the amazing reviews. Unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. It felt more like an elevated hostel than a chic B&B. We had to wait for someone to open the gate anytime we wanted to enter or leave, which was challenging, especially waiting outside on the quiet street at night. The room did not have a fan so it perpetually felt damp from the shower. It was very poorly insulated so you could hear anyone coming and going. And the finishings were outdated - cobwebs in corners. We really wanted to love it but I could not recommend it

A lovely hotel. The communal lounges are very good to sit and relax and have a drink. The whole place is very tastefully decorated. The hotel is located in a quiet residential. It is a 20-30 minute cab ride into central Bogota and La Candelaria. You can’t really walk anywhere from the hotel but that’s a reflection of the city rather than Casa Legado. A small point but when we arrived we asked for a bottle of white wine and none was available. So the available drinks could be better stocked.

The attention to detail at meal time- the china settings, various teas and whimsical cups, bedtime- hot water bottle, the quaint reading area, cozy living rooms, patios with lush plants , the gardener and hard working help who never tired of helping out and answering questions. I got to practice my Spanish and even a couple of salsa steps. Thank you Laura, Natalie, Tatiana, Camila!

The location in the Chapinero neighborhood is perfect. As others have said, it does feel like you are staying with dear family in their beautiful home. We really enjoyed the opportunity to meet and talk with other guests from all over the world at breakfast. And, let me stress, you still have plenty of privacy with your own room. The kindness, attention and service level of every single person on the staff is next level. We could've sworn every single person was the owner with the amount of care and hard work they put in. PRO TIP: We almost didn't stay because there is no gym. However, we discovered STARK Smart Gym, just a block or two away. Go online, fill out easy form and you get 3 days free, no questions asked. Super easy to pop over there and they have excellent equipment: Everything. Cardio, machines, free weights. Very clean. Nicer and better option than any hotel gym.

A very special - magic - place designed with love and taste. Each room follows a special theme and is dedicated to a person. The rooms are very comfortable and the shared spaces beautiful. The hotel is situated in a lively area of Bogota very close to restaurants and bars, and still a secluded oasis of peace. The staff is very nice and forthcoming. A place where I could stay for weeks, no for months! I thought that the breakfast was a bit frugal, limited to fruits and granola and one choice of eggs. Maybe this was because we slept so late and were the last to come down for breakfast!
-
The place's intimate and cosy decoration The room didn't have a balcony, although booked specifically with a balcony; the smoking policy was too rigid - outside the hotel area
-
The location, the forniture I did not have any issues with that but as it is a house with rooms I guess that if other guests are noisy you can hear everything

Ambience, style, atmosphere, decor Nothing

Casa Legado was the most beautiful and hospitable hotel I have stayed in. It is not a conventional hotel, but rather a house/home with beautifully appointed common spaces (rooms within the house and outdoor patios) and charming rooms, each with its own character. The staff and owners are so kind and accommodating. Breakfast is fantastic. The location (in the Chapinero neighborhood) is ideal. I can't say enough good things - I hope to return soon!
