Savassi Hotel

Great breakfast. Roof top patio was really nice. Bed was comfortable, nice sheets and plenty of blankets. WiFi didn’t work in our room. We had to be in the lobby for WiFi. The chairs in rooms don’t have glides on them so every time the room above moved their chair it was very loud. Our shower hot water was just lukewarm, so showers were a bit on the chilly side.

Amazing breakfast and location. The staff was really nice as well. The fact that they only had one elevator working during the entire time was very complicated. Also, the bedroom was small and didn’t offer a microwave or anything. The blankets provided was also not good enough, very thin and uncomfortable

Close to Savassi area and to Praça da Liberdade Noise in early morning. We could hear the orange juice machine working in the kitchen since 5:00 erasing any chance of sleep. Breakfast could be better.

The staff always welcoming and accommodating and great location. Great staff and service all around. Messias and Julio always acomotading my dietary restrictions offering a great breakfast and service. Emerson and Marcelo at the reception always assisting me and guiding me during my stay. The location is convenient- near major attractions such as the mall, Mercado Central, and other attractions. The staff were friendly and they had a decent breakfast. The rooms are near major, busy streets and the windows are metal to protect from light, not sound. It doesn’t offer any sound blockage, which causes that you experience every sound throughout the night (motorcycles, ambulance, parties, etc.). It was impossible to sleep with that noise. The bathroom towels were old and rough. The main rug at the lobby looks filthy dirty. I paid for 4 evenings but ended up only staying for two nights.

Location is good. The room was not clean! We arrived in the room the bed was not set up, there were empty bottle of previous person. The window is noisy. We got a bad room close to the elevator so everytime we heard noise from there too. The breakfast options were OK, but the floor not clean.

I regularly complain about hotels that advertise their pools, but when you get there, they are too small to actually swim in. Typically, these pools look much larger in their photographs and the hotels do not provide the length in their description. This hotel's pool is one stroke long, so no way to get any exercise. Other than the pool's size, I was very happy with my stay here.

We really like the location and walking distance to restaurants. The rooms are always simple and clean. On past visits to this hotel, the greeting staff has been friendlier and there’s been a bellhop to take our bags up to the room when we first arrive. This time everybody sat around and let us do it ourselves. No big deal, but was different than previous visits.

Location and the room. Took ages to get onto the internet and the card key almost always didn’t work so it needed renewing each time we went back, even though we had 2 keys all the time it happened to both.

Old and dark, stuffy old school downmarket “traditional” hotel, staff is adequate but dour and kind of grumpy, furnishings are old (though clean), tv remote battery cover was missing, tv was tiniest flatscreen from twenty years ago, overall atmosphere is just depressing. I checked out after one night and got the Hilton Garden Inn for the same price.

Breakfast was OK.

It was close to where we needed to go and close to lots of restaurants. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff were very polite and helpful. The room was neat and the shower was really good. The size of the swimming pool. The tv had problems with the sound. There were some issues with the elevator on the 7th floor.
