The Hotel Britomart

Great location, amazing staff, excellent rooms and very quiet. I was in Auckland for some work for a week, and this was a great hotel for business. I used the complimentary bikes to ride around a little. Staff are genuinely courteous and happy. I will stay again.

Beautiful hotel and exceptional staff

Centrally located, only a few minutes walk to top rated restaurants, transport, and shopping. It is well maintained, beautiful decor, good vibes, all staff were attentive and friendly, and the hotel was clean. Wifi is provided, and the hotel restaurant was delicious. Rooms are on the smaller end

Our first hotel on our North Island itinerary and it didn't disappoint. Great location, with lovely options for food and being close to the ferry for our Waiheke Island visit was also a bonus. The hotel itself was modern, focussed on sustainability and has all that you need. Nothing.

I loved the location and the quality of the room. The aesthetic was also brilliant and unique. The entry area is cramped and busy. It is not super welcoming when you arrive.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Britomart and it is, without question, one of the finest hotel experiences we have had. From the moment we arrived, every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations. The room was beautifully appointed, the onsite restaurants were all sensational (although on this trip, we only dined in Kingi and the seafood on offer was amazing). The location is simply hard to beat. What truly set the experience apart, however, was the staff. Warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout our entire stay. We didn't use the complimentary bikes as we had a rental car, but we loved that they were available. We searched hard for something to critique and came up empty. Hotel Britomart is the complete package, and we would not hesitate to return or recommend it to anyone visiting Auckland. Five stars, without hesitation. We struggled to find any fault with the hotel - everything for us was perfect!

Great hotel! Clean, comfortable, secure. Staff extremely accommodating. Very difficult to find for someone unfamiliar with the area. This was the only downside but it was significant.

Beautiful building, great service. nothing

Felt very secure. The Conceierge on the day I arrived , which was March 5th, was extremely helpful and went beyond, getting excursions booked for me. The entire staff was superb! Well, nothing of substance.

The layout of the hotel was great, especially the lobby area. The hotel's location in the Central Business District and just a short walk to the harbor is excellent.

Rooms are nicely laid out. A staff reviewed the room controls for lighting, temperature, room darkening which was a ton of help. Some staff despite friendliness were disingenuous, expressing help but not carrying it through. One didn't reserve a cab when we requested one, and even made a laughing remark that where we needed a cab was close enough to walk. Which we were aware of, but that is not his concern. Another staff, we requested to help us find a dentist emergently, and he said "I will do my best", and disappeared after that, with no follow up or obvious endorsement to other staff. Understandably a difficult request, but disingenuous nonetheless. Next time, be honest.

The hotel was modern and tidy. Thne staff where courteous and attentive. The location to Spark Arena was spot on. We wiull use the accommodation again when we go tyo Auckland for an event. There was nothing we didnt like about the hotel. It was a perfect break

Staff were great. Very good restaurant (had both breakfast and lunch). Electronic controls for lights, window shades could use an instruction sheet.

The reception staff was very efficient and friendly on check-in. My request for a high floor and harbor view was satisfied with a room in the perfect location. Although the room is a bit on the small side, it was quite adequate and very comfortable. The sheer and blackout shades worked nicely. The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job for each of the three days we stayed at The Hotel Britomart. The location of the hotel is among the best for vacationers as it is right across the street from the wharf, ferries, and fine dining, and very close to the CBD for business visitors. This stay was our second, just prior to leaving NZ. After a late checkout, we were made to feel welcome and comfortable before a late departure for home. The lighting is rather complicated with buttons to turn it on and off, as well as dimming with the same button. The bed stands are little alcoves. They were tight and awkward, but they did have a USB port and two electrical outlets, so I can't complain too much about the space.
