The location of the hotel was great. The room was well kept and spacious. More than enough for two people. The shower water temperature didn't last too long but it was still comfortable. I didn't like that there was a deposit for the room on top of what I paid. Of course I know that this is common for hotels. However, I never saw anywhere on the reservation that I would need to. Could be my mistake though.

Affordable CBD location. the place is utterly filthy. the rooms less so than the hallways, but i admired a collection of bottle tops strewn across the 4th floor hallway for three days without being moved/tidied by the cleaning staff. the lifts are disgusting. the room is more just poorly maintained and sad fixtures etc than lack of cleaning but the overall impression is filth.

Walls super thin, can hear everything, not the cleanest
-
Very central A little outdated

Bathroom needed a little extra clean on the floors. Hair/dust/hairtie upon arrival Wish there was access to an iron!
-
bed was comfy & windows open Door has a latech and can be left unlocked if you dont know. Not their fault but a building site opened across the road starting at 6am daily very noisy For that reason book a king room and request mysers park side of the building

My room was comfortable and had everything I needed for my stay. Bed was comfortable. Towels changed most days. Location very handy to buses down Queen St, No restaurant in Hotel.

The staff was very unfriendly, and the location is not suitable. The property is too old and not clean at all. The front desk staff was super level of misbehaving attitude, and I did not stay due to the fear. I booked another hotel name 'The Quadrant Hotel & Suites', and stayed two nights there. Staff misbehaved with me while I was requesting to give a little bit of early checking due to my wife's sickness for the long plane journey from Hong Kong to New Zealand, and the taxi journey to Hotel from Auckland Airport

Location was good. Nice view of skytower. Fridge froze my milk ect, reported this to reception but they did not do anything about it, came back and milk frozen again/still. No plates or utensils only a jug and cups.

The Aircon didn't work

On check out, the staff at reception asked me to take a seat while they inspect the room before I leave, waiting in the foyer. Inspection took 25 minutes. Then bond of 300 was released to me with a "thanks". Probably won't go back again. Very awkward. Missed my bus too

Reasonable price and located close to everything I needed to get to. Wonderful staff and a decently nice room. The blanket was a little thin, so felt a little cold at night, but not a big deal there. Also there was some stains on the curtains around the front and back. Again, not a big deal. Just noticed.
-
large bathroom Room was a bit cramped and there was no way to watch anything on the TV (no channels, unable to cast from my phone, no option to log into netflix or other streaming services etc) Lights in the corridor leading up to the room were not working

Front desk staff friendly Very run down. Dated building and decor, a lot of the communal areas were dirty. Also in the room the furniture was not great. Right up the top of queen street so you have to walk a giant hill every day
