Good hotel for a night or two. There breakfast is not buffet but fully served by waiters. Staffs are gentle and helpful. The hotel gives a very old vibe.

All in all it was pretty good. I have no complaints.

I had a wonderful stay at Philae Hotel Aswan. The atmosphere is great and the staff are very welcoming. I would especially like to thank Aya from the housekeeping team for her exceptional work and professionalism. She made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

Location, staff, and I slept well

Be aware, there is no elevator.

Friendly staff. Great location/centrally located. Spacious room. Balcony with view of main street and Nile River. Good water pressure. Laundry service provided. Tours and/or transport could be booked thru reception desk. Old building. No lift/elevator. Wifi temperamental. No toilettries except liquid soap. Hot water would fade after a few minutes. Breakfast was basic with instant coffee.

The location is great and right to the opposite of the flutant dock. The price was too high at the value with what it offers. My room was at 2nd floor. No elevator available. Room was small with only basic facilities. Nothing was served in the bathroom except for toilet paper. No bottled drinking water. I don't know how the general breakfast looks like. I asked for packed breakfast for my stays as I needed to go out very early in the mornings. Breakfast pack was simple with a boiled egg,2 bunds and a softpack of juice. Some of the staffs at reception were helpful, but some were only too greedy about business. One day I was not able to get connect with the driver that I booked for a tour,I tried to ask for help from the reception desk, one (looks like a manager)did not help with my needs but only pushed to offer immediate driver/service to take me to the same place at so and so price. By the way, their prices were higher than reasonable level.

Breakfast

Location was good; close to old markets souk, close to main road where ships would be docked, perfect sunset view of the Nile. Smelled like cigarettes…
-
Location was noisy, hotel has no lift and is very aged. Poor breakfast
-
The best thing of thus hotel is the staff who is nice and helpful. The location is perfect for Aswan, by corniche, close to Nile, cafes, places to eat etc. Hotel need renovation, it was very noisy and we had a city view room, not a Nile view (hard for someone with sleep difficulties.)

There was nothing to like about this hotel except for the location. Taking advantage of the location to mint dollars..
-
Balcony view of the River Nile and boats. Live scenery of the streets. The moonlight settling towards the west. The request of two beds. Beds comfy. Quick response of the hotel booking manager. Room too small, hair on the bed linens. The confusion and mistakenly of the hotel staff thinking “my” Egyptian staff that was working with my European guests assist the travels from Luxor to Aswan staying at the Old Cataract, I had my staff staying at this hotel. While having breakfast, staff asking why are they sitting there having breakfast. Discrimination.

No elevator. No body helped me moving my bages during check out. I checked out early morning 2 AM but no body was available to move my luagages from 2nd floor to the taxi. I called the reception without answer.
-
Close to the cruise ship The staff is not very responsive. I had to reach out many times and in multiple ways to get my airport pickup confirmation even with $25 charge.
-
An excellent stay with outstanding service and unforgettable views.
