MEININGER Hotel Amsterdam City West

I booked room of 8, overall its fine i stayed for 2 nights, but the beds must be preallocated rather, take whatever you can or first come first serve. i think the cleanliness in the room was bit missing. over all it is ok.

It’s near the supermarket and train station and there are coffee shops around it was high price There should be a free locker rooms I wanted to keep my bags for 4 hours but I have 10 bags then I should pay 4 euros for each bag !

We had some problems with a burning hairdryer. The receptionist fixed it by removing it from our room but It wasn't him who was trained to do it. There were no technicians during the weekend! When the hairdryer started to burn (with a sparkle) the safety switch didn't turn on. It was unsafely

The location was almost next door to the city west train station and a tram line. The fan/AC in the room worked well. I can see how groups and families can like this, as it seems more like a backpacking hostel , than a big hotel. 1: Reception felt like a rotary, next, next,next... no "guest experience." 2. Black mold in the shower, very squeaky door (Room 226). 3. The parking elevator was broken, and I had to carry luggage up and down a narrow spiral staircase. 4. Parking garage is full of litter, bottles and cans everywhere.

The location is convenient, the staff are so helpful and accommodating, they even helped us figure out how to visit tourist spots easily, giving us all the public transport details, and they treated us like family. No bidet ?....

Great location, great staff, great lobby. Right next to the station, easily accessible by the airport and train up to see the windmills. The general kitchen in the lobby is great for cooking your own meals. A lot of school trips deciding to stay here, makes for a very rowdy and noisy experience at times.

The rooms are very big, bed and pillow are very comfortable. Very clean. I had a great experience there.

The staff were very kind and helpful. Very close location to transportation. Clean rooms but very crowded so it can be noisy at nights. Other than that fully recommended.

Location to train Family room was really small. No fridge, beds not really comfortable, no face cloths in bathroom, really small tv that was unplugged when we arrived. People smoking in hotel which caused fire alarm to go off. Smelled of weed on our floor.

Rooms are very tight. There were no amenities in the rooms.

Enjoyed the community kitchen and waterbottle filling station in the lobby. Luggage lockers were convenient and a reasonable price. The price for doing a load of laundry was expensive. We stayed at a different hotel in another city on this trip and the washing machine and dryer were free. I am happy to pay, but I think it was €4 just to wash one load, which is way too much.

Only the location as it is located next to train station, although it did not mean so much for me, as always walked to the center when visiting Amsterdam. So noisy. many people talked and screamed on the corridor. The single-room was too small so that I could not work comfortably in the room. The mattress was too soft so that my lower back was aching after getting up every day. In generally, it was not worthy for the price I paid.

Great location, friendly staff, great facilities, good vibe, amazing place to stay for a few nights in dam. Very modern too.

Hotel is located next to train station so it is easy arrive with heavy luggage. Room was enough big for two people. Staff is friendly and willing to help. Room was equipped with aircondition what is good in summer time. Beds in room were too narrow probably less than 80cm wide. Room had view next to rail way, so passing trains cause some noise.

Location is so perfect. Hotel is located just a stone throw away from the station.

The common kitchen is quite dirty. The light in the room are quite dimmed. No kettle in the room.
