Great hotel

The hotel is really nice, comfortable and clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful with everything from beginning to end. The buffet was great, fresh and delicious. I had to request a toothbrush and paste as it wasn't in the bathroom but they brought it to my room in 3 minutes.

The only concern was that the cleanliness of the rooms could be improved, as they were not as clean as expected. Nevertheless, the overall experience was positive thanks to the convenient location and the excellent staff.

Very modern and clean, with large rooms and all the standard amenities. Staff were very kind, and the location is close to a train that takes you right into the heart amsterdam. You can also walk through vondelpark for a longer but scenic walk. Highly recommend! Shower had no door and water splashed out easily, which was a bit annoying

Bed was incredibly uncomfortable for a "nice" hotel. For what I paid it seemed overpriced. Room was still small.

The service and Location

I was overcharged in USD from EUR. Room key didn’t work for gym. Also I had to reprogram it on the 2nd day as it stopped working.

Room space. Difficult to pass between desk and bed if a chair at desk. The actual room size is significally smaller than listed. Dont be attracted by its listed number. No shower gel holder in shower room, gel has to be taken from vanity. Glass door of shower room is clear, person in shower inside can be seen from bedroom. The first receptionist assigned me a room right next to noisy bar and elevator while other rooms available. I have to requested a change, thanks for the change by a second receptionist though.

The location was convenient, and one of the reception staff members was polite during check-out. We did not find the hotel clean or hygienic. We arrived late at night, so we did not notice everything immediately. However, the next morning we clearly saw several issues: the bed cover was damaged, there were visible marks and stains (including on the walls and the bathroom mirror), and the floor was not properly cleaned. When walking barefoot, we could feel dirt and small particles under our feet. Even the reception area did not appear clean. We noticed visible dust behind the reception computer, which further raised concerns about the overall hygiene standards of the hotel. We have photos to support this. Because of these hygiene concerns, we wanted to check out and move to another hotel. We reported the problems immediately to the reception and also contacted Booking.com. The main issue was also the inconsistent communication between staff members. The morning shift clearly informed us that three remaining nights would be refunded and that we could stay until 12:00 the next day since that night was already paid. We confirmed this arrangement. Later, the evening shift told us the offer was no longer valid and acted as if we had not accepted it. Guests should not be affected by internal staff miscommunication. In addition, when we followed up about the bedsheets not being changed, the evening shift female staff member spoke to us in an argumentative and confrontational tone, which made the situation uncomfortable and unprofessional. We were also asked to pay a €100 deposit per room at check-in, which we did not clearly see mentioned during the booking process. Considering the room condition, this was also concerning for us. Overall, the cleanliness issues, inconsistent communication, and the way the complaint was handled made this stay very disappointing.

Great location, great breakfast, spacious room with comfortable beds, super nice and friendly staff. Cannot complain about anything. Was very satisfied with everything.

I’ve stayed here over the years a good few times. I love the pool and the breakfasts. Parking is very expensive

Safe to inter hotel and floor as security Bathroom and shower not in one view as in different places in rooms and bed of single was badly

Great location and very friendly, helpful staff at reception. First room was not clean well and there was very specific smell, the next day room was much better.

The area it is located in is clean with a beautiful park and small lake. The hotel is very clean and modern. The restaurant is very good in the hotel. Wish there were more restaurants near the hotel but the tram is close to get into the heart of Amsterdam.

Breakast was incredible! My room was the best, but honestly i found the doorknobs difficult to open. The staff was truly amazing, especially Christina. I ordered roses and they arrived right on time. Thank you for everything! If only there were a tram stop a little closer. Obviously that cant be changed. But it is a little difficult to get around from there, love the nearby park though!

Nice decoration, good breakfast, Swimmingpool Location a little bit outside, but near airport. Sauna wasn’t open because of renovation.

Clean, welcoming, close to parks and public transport, lovely view, well serviced by friendly staff and a yummy buffet breakfast The room was slightly warm so a bit stuffy (possibly user error with heating and cooling). The glass bathroom door is not frosted so if sharing with a friend be aware there is minimal privacy.

Didn’t like the toilet separated from the sink. Both are in different rooms.
