Wonderful stay, the daytime & evening staff were both exceptional, young male student bartender was really lovely too. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to eat in the venue, but the room was beautiful we would definitely come again. Not too far from Amsterdam city centre by car. Beautiful experience!

I had a really enjoyable stay at Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam – Amstel. The room was excellent — spacious, modern, very clean and extremely comfortable. Everything was well maintained, and the bed was particularly comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day in Amsterdam. The restaurant was also a highlight of the stay. The food was delicious, beautifully presented and there was a great choice on the menu. The atmosphere was lovely, and it was a great place to enjoy a meal without needing to leave the hotel. What really made the stay special, though, was the service. The staff were friendly, welcoming and professional throughout. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and they made us feel genuinely looked after. Overall, a fantastic hotel with beautiful rooms, a great restaurant and excellent service. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Location, bistro, gym, pool. Front of house staff especially Amane or Adame the lady was super helpful when my return flight to the uk was cancelled on Monday evening. The young Dutch gentleman was a breath of fresh air in his manner in and and around the Bistro. I believe he started working at the hotel the same day as Amane. Sky Barbon Saturday was class. The rest of the waiting on staff on the buffet restaurant and bistro. They stood around talking, the buffet restaurant only had 18 guests sat down for Breakfast on one of our days yet I counted over 20 covers that had not been removed/cleaned. My son and I arrived for breakfast around 8am so not too early but not too late and on the first 2-3 days struggled to find a clean table to sit at. The staff are clearly not trained or not supervised or both or simply not good enough sadly for this hotel and price point.

The spa area was great. Friendly staff, excellent restaurant and bar. Lovely breakfast. Bathroom had dust round edges of the floor, hais and a questionable stain on the toile roll holder.
