The hotel was clean, cozy, and comfortable! There are friendly, helpful staff, and even a resident cat named Basil (who mostly stays outside). It's also in a great location and we walked all over Amsterdam from there. The bathroom was very dated and the shower was located in the middle of the tub, and kept falling off its holder, so it was difficult to use comfortably. But the room was a good size for 4 people, and the character of the building and the friendliness of the staff made up for this minor inconvenience.

The location was great. The staff members were all very friendly and kind. Good value for money.

Excellent location, close to public transportation. The bus from the airport brings you almost to the hotel.Great stuff, decent breakfast. Quiet neighborhood with pleasant architecture. No AC. It’s fine when it’s below 28C but above might be hard to tolerate. It would be nice to renovate the rooms a bit.

The room didn’t look or feel as clean as I expected. There was hair all over the bed when I checked in.

The location in town was great, but my favorite was the front desk staff....... the lady the night we arrived was very nice and informative The tub was a little slippery and I would have liked a mat to put on the floor to step on when I got out of the shower.

Secador de cabelo muito antigo, super fraquinho...não correspondia com o padrão/estrutura do hotel.

It was in a terrific location, helpful staff (esp. The cheery Dutch man at reception), and a clean, well, kept (if small-we chose the economy size) room. The only odd thing was that they wanted you to leave your key with them at the desk when you leave the building. May be normal for Amsterdam, but it was new to us.

Very loud. Lots of doors slamming. No a/c

My closer is bigger than the room. I am spoiled as I usually stay at finer establishments. But the rate and location helped the stay

Location was great - walkable to city center and museums. Just residential area

Very pleasant and helpful people at the front desk. Comfortable small hotel in a walkable neighborhood close to two streetcar stations.

Lovely staff and location

The room was very serviceable although we expected a bit more for the premium price (around $300 a night. There was an unpainted metal corner brace on the wall with visible drywall screws. Just a tad shabby. Breakfast was fine for an additional $20, and there didn’t seem to be reasonably priced breakfast spots around you could have done better unless you just wanted coffee and a pastry which definitely WAS available in very high quality w reasonable prices. The beds seemed not very late model although they were serviceable snd my largest problem was that the overstuffed pillow was uncomfortable. Housekeeping services were fine, as was cleanliness.

Friendly helpful staff, very good location, nice breakfast, comfortable room, lovely back yard patio and a sitting room.

You hear everything, even someone walking outside the room. I woke up several times during the night just because someone else in the hotel started talking in their room.

The room was too small, the bathroom extremely tiny, my husband is tall, and it was very difficult for him to use the toilet.

Metal frame of bed felt not safe for heavier person
