The location was amazing and the staff was very helpful. The reception girl Vy is a superstar, she helped us a lot and was ready to help always. The property was under renovation and no one told us this until we reach there, the ac was not fitted in the room yet, was issue with tv's, reception was a mess and you've to bear the construction noise in the morning too so not a recommendation for another 2 weeks until the property complete the work.

Location and the check in experience The site says it has parking space but definitely not. So it's a lie. The property, where we stayed in 2026 August, was more or less under construction. So, no major issues but I believe it's kind of frustrating for a "less flexible" guest

It was right in the city centre, we were able to book one day prior to our stay. Which was very pleasant It isn’t very accessible if you have big luggage, considering the stairs, but since it’s in the city centre of Amsterdam, we were aware of that.

Location was excellent. 400 metres from the main train station. The gentleman who checked me in was very chatty and pleasant, and fluent in multiple languages. Lots of DIY work was going on. This is obviously a positive thing for future guests, but not hugely relaxing for me, personally. I left a €100 deposit upon arrival. No problem with this, as it is sensible to do this. When checking out; they didn’t check the bedroom for damages or thefts. Kind of defeats the point of taking a €100 deposit. Obviously, I didn’t steal or break anything, but I just found it a little bizarre that they didn’t even check. Not a complaint - simply an observation.

The hotel was in a great location, shops and tourist actractions was nearby. Some Receptionist were pleasant. The rooms were cleaned everyday. No facilities to make food/drinks.It was quite expensive, we had to buy everything from outside The stairs were quite high. The gave us a room for a family of 4 with all bunk beds. I asked to be moved but the rooms offered was higher up. The price was too high for the hotel. They are still renovating so some wires were showing. The television did not work, I was told that they are still setting it up.

It’s very close to Centraal station. It was priced about right for what you get for the money and in comparison ton other property nearby. If you want a 5 star experience, look elsewhere, but if you need a comfortable bed for the night on Damrak with hot running water and a comfortable bed, it’ll do. It’s being renovated and it is what it is - a small hotel with a couple of rooms for people like me who just want to be close to the centre and need a bed for the night.

The location I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Hotel Continental Amsterdam. The information about parking was unclear and misleading. The hotel indicated that parking was available, but I could not find any parking at the hotel and had to search for alternatives. Public parking may be available nearby, but this should have been clearly explained before booking parking cost me 65 euro also whene i arived they would not acpet to i cacel my reservation The hotel was also undergoing construction and painting during my stay. The noise started as early as 8:00 a.m., making it very difficult to sleep and relax. I was not properly informed about this work in advance. I was also told that there was no bathroom available in the room. However, the shared bathroom was located on the fourth floor, and there was no elevator. The stairs were difficult and inconvenient, especially for guests carrying luggage. Hotel listings and guest reports also mention shared bathrooms and the absence of an elevator, which should be clearly communicated before booking I have photos and videos documenting the construction, noise, and facilities. Overall, the hotel did not match the information provided, and I would not recommend staying here unless these issues are clearly disclosed to guests before booking.
