Had a canal view which was lovely but very noisy. Breakfast was very nice with a good selection of food available. Complimentary coffee was available 24/7 in a nice lounge above the breakfast room which was good. Security was good with a key card needed to access the lift and stairs. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy but very dated and really need refurbishing. Air conditioning didn’t work in our room which meant windows open and lots of noise. Bed sheets weren’t changed once in a three night stay. Our bath towels were frayed around the edges which isn’t good for a four star hotel.

Great location. Very clean, comfortable beds, beautiful room, great location. Nothing.

Everything about Dikker and Thijs was great - location (next to tram stop), the quiet, comfortable rooms (even canal view room was peaceful thanks to double glazing), air conditioning (efficient and not noisy), charming, helpful staff and delicious fresh breakfasts (coffee and cooked-to-order eggs superb). Also, great value for money for such a well-located boutique hotel.

Everything was great! Would recommend. Had a great room (superior with balcony) but the shower was super weird

Great location, breakfast, friendly staff, great canal view terrace Room was kind of humid and had a wet/musty smell but I think that's the nature of the area and old buildings.

We were booked for 6 nights and received a small dark room which faced an internal area in the corner of the hotel with tiny windows . When we asked if we could move given our length of stay we were told they were fully booked yet we we went on booking.com and there was availability for our time .

Clean and great location Old furniture, bed not very comfortable

The hotel is located in a great spot - everything is within walking distance. The room itself was clean and tidy, with everything you need. The mattress was comfortably firm, perfect for a good night's sleep. There's a desk and chairs for working. The Wi-Fi was stable and fast. The hotel is very close to a tram line, but you can't hear it at all inside. The only downside is that the room itself is quite small, but overall everything matched the description.

Location was great and view from the room on the canal great Bathrooms could be updated but fine

Great location Room window just above a very loud tram line. Was noisy.

The hotel changed my room, as I had a dark room and was not able to enjoy the view. They didn’t mind upgrading me when they had availability and were very nice.

Staff was really nice and we also loved the position, easy reach for all places we needed to go! A bit noisy at night but you can expect it in a big city like Amsterdam.

Nice sized room, well appointed and very functional bathroom (with large towels and robes!). Super friendly/helpful staff. Casual sitting area with coffee and tea off the lobby. Borrowed converter plug which was really helpful. Staff gave us a free breakfast voucher for the first day; it was yummy. Free water in the room and given out by the staff. It was a bit loud due to the trams running outside and proximity to the street. The breakfast was too expensive to buy - nearly $30/day.

I already submitted my review as I stayed there on two separate occasions. See my previous comment.

Location is absolutely top notch. We loved the canal view room though the few flights of stairs can be challenging when carrying the luggage and bags. The staff were fantastic and one gave us a complimentary breakfast! And they had great breakfast. Flights of stairs.
