Superb

The location is very good, in the centre of the city. The room was cute and the staff was really kind. Everything was super clean ! Maybe the stairs, but knowing how Amsterdam is I was expecting a lot of stairs without elevator. The only flaw would be the sound from the AC vent and from the neighbours.

really friendly and helpful staff

The room was small but clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel does not have any breakfast facilities and you get a voucher for breakfast at another hotel around the corner. The breakfast buffet is good and generous. Ideal location if you want to enjoy the night life and don't mind loud singing outside at 5am (less ideal if you do). The room was already prepaid. When arriving we were requested to have an additional deposit of EUR 250 blocked on our credit card and to sign a declaration the hotel can claim the deposit if we damage the room, check out too late or lose the keys (two standard plastic cards). It makes you wonder what guests the place caters for if they have to protect the rooms like this. The "bathroom" is a narrow cubicle attached to the wall of the bedroom with the entire length facing the room made from (partially opaque) glass and gives you very little privacy.

Passable

Small (single) clean room, recently...
-
Beautifully renovated No lifts, so a long walk up to the top
-
Great location nearby everything you need, love the design of the hotel and friendly team. Nothing to complain about
-
Centrally located which made it possible to walk to most attractions. The beds were comfortable Unfortunately it was very noisy at night. The shower was blocked and not well fitted therefore on the first night we flooded the room

Is cozy, silent, and the location is amazing

Location is excellent! Steep stairs, but thats what you can expect in Amsterdam.

New, clean, with everything you need. I got the small one person room, and indeed is small but doesn’t feel claustrophobic at all. The space is used well, the furniture is pretty functional with the space and it was very comfortable with everything you need. Reception is 24h so that’s great in case you need something. A/C worked great. Not a dislike but more like a note for travelers with reduced mobility: it’s an old Amsterdam property, so be prepared for a lot of stairs and no elevator.
