Hampton Inn & Suites Woodland-Sacramento Area

the location right off the freeway was what I wanted Between Booking -com and the hotel staff they completely screwed up my reservation. I had spoken with Cherie J on 8/5 about the possibility of changing my reservation to the 7th but midway through the call I learned that I won't be able to get a room in Long Beach on the 8th so I asked her to ensure that my reservation remained on the 8th. When I arrived on the 8th I was told I was a "no show for the 7th. The "manager" was very uncooperative and refused to honor my reservation and the price I had paid. I was force to paid about $200 more ($500 total) for the same rooms over and above what I had already paid Booking.com. I spoke with Irene shortly after and she informed my that I would be getting a refund of my initial $304 payment via booking.com, but as of this morning (8/22) still no refund to my card. The hotel itself is cheaply built, we could hear the man upstairs stomping around and the wall were so thin that we hear our neighbors having a conversation. Based on the above, even though I am a hilton Honors member I will never stay at another Hilton property ever again.

The staff was very polite and was very accommodating with the room choice, they moved us from the room across the elevator to a larger room. The location wasn’t bad, even being next to the freeway, it wasn’t that loud. The breakfast in the morning wasn’t bad, and there were a lot of options. Overall, the location needed a lot of love. There was black mold in the shower, and water damage on the windowsill and the window shade. The elevator also stopped working twice, and they had to go manually reset it, so we had to use the stairs a few times.

The included breakfast was delicious and included many items. Came into a room with a completely empty shampoo conditioner bottle. Do they not check the bottle levels in the shower?

The location is great for me, having to drive from So. Cal. to Oregon. I stop for a night in Sacramento/Woodland halfway. I also like the location because it's near a Nuggets Market. (I love that Market for their hot food selection. I can get a full dinner for a reasonable price.)
