SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Brandywine Valley

This property very dated, rooms small. Drastically needs remodeled. The bathroom toilet area so small the bathroom door touched my knees as I’m sitting to do my business. Face of a/c falling off. Trim was rotted and falling off. The lock was ratchet!!

Room had horrible mildew smell.

The room looked like it hasn’t been cleaned an disinfected in quite a while The room had bugs I killed a roach in the room. I stayed in the room for 3 nights and a the room was never visited by a maid. The bed was never made, the room was never cleaned,& the trash was never removed. The hotel only had 1 ice machine and it was out of order. The pool appeared to be cleaned an maintained it had a hot tub that had green water in it and looks like it has been inoperable for quite a while. They offered an inclusive breakfast but, from the condition of the rest of the property I wasn’t willing to take the chance on eating there. The photos on Expedia did not correctly represent how the hotel truly looked. Hampton Inn should be embarrassed to have their name associated with this establishment & Expedia should have done a better job screening this hotel before offering it to its customers. I booked 2 different trips with Expedia recently & with the experience of this first trip it is causing me to second guess about choosing Expedia to book my travels. Without a doubt this was the worst hotel I ever stayed in.

Could have been a better experience but the jest in the “jetted” tub did the work. Only half of the bed sockets work.

Dans la description de l’hébergement était inclus le petit déjeuner mais dans la vraie vie, il ont rien donné. Pour le reste tout était correct: parking gratuit, machine de glaçons correct, accueil correct, propreté de l’hôtel correct en général.

Clean room

The pool look very clean and inviting. I believe this property was misrepresented on Expedia. This misrepresentation lead me to expect more than what was provided. I won't use Expedia again. I won't stay here again because this facility is a true motel with no elevator and only outside steps and room access. Probably not a problem for the younger generation but a definite problem for Seniors like myself.

Breakfast

The rooms looked nice online and honestly the rooms were updated with LVP floors and the sink area is great, but they don't show you the shower/bath area which are horrible. There were so many patches and cracks and looked dirty and gross. I refused to use the shower while there and believe me I am not super pickly. They also had cracked glass going up to the second floor on their stairway, which just made it feel unsafe in the area. For what you get, the price was pretty expensive - though I think the area is a little pricy. The good part though was the staff were great, bed was comfortable and breakfast was ok.

I wouldn’t stay here again. The bathroom was just disgusting, hot tub and pool was disgusting definitely didn’t go in, I just felt gross staying in the room. It just is not well maintained needs lots of work.

Mold on curtains, floor not swept, bathroom shower walls needed a scrubbing, musty smell, AC could use a clean.

I was not allowed to stay there because I was escaping getting beat in an abusive relationship & mentioned to the front desk the police were just as residence inn the day before. The whole thing is caught on camera. I was lied to & told I wasn’t charged & had to go back to my abuser because they took my last money, the old fat pop belly white man that said he was the owner, Also on camera, lied and said I wasn’t charged. I also lost $1000+ in injectable medication from Olympia, $500+ in supplemental from Designs for Health. & $300+ in Mindbloom antidepressants. I still have to file it with the police report to Restore and have to go without in the midst of all this because of them. Not to mention my Victoria’s Secret limited edition suitcase was my prosthetic devices for degenerative disc and my C-section inside. All of which I’ve had a very hard time restoring and have only restored half of. I’m sorry that my abuse was an inconvenience to best Western and I’m very sad because it’s a chain that we used when I was a child fresh from the Soviet Union with my grandparents and we traveled to California, Arizona and Nevada. And I always said very good things. Only didn’t stay there before because they don’t take dogs and now I’m glad I didn’t however because it’s only an evil person.

The team there was very nice and helpful. Rooms were very dirty. VERY DIRTY

Room was priced correctly, bed was clean and comfortable. Its an older hotel with older plumbing issues but nice lobby and AC worked,
