Had to remove the whole air conditioner filled with mold black mold restroom black mold the bedroom black mold the lady that runs the front desk of the white lady she rude told me I can get my money back or stay in that room even though it had black mold in it maintenance dude I was trying to show him the mold he told me he didn't want to see it

I was charged another 20 dollars on top of the 50 that I was told online that I would be paying. Only after I was already charged for the first amount. I get there and they show me some sign taped on the desk about charging $20 fee outside of the booking. I asked why didn’t they have this showing on the website “. Acted like it was common to mislead people online then get them there and basically force me to pay 20 more bucks because it was late. I honestly could file some stuff with the better business office and mention this website and how nobody mentions hidden fees

Ac was slow took 4 hours to cool room. Staff was great. Good value for price.

The door isn't able to be open after dark. But I get it.

I am writing to formally complain about the poor condition of the Howard Johnson Hotel during my recent visit. Upon arrival, the exterior of the building appeared uninviting, but we decided to proceed with our stay. While the front desk staff was courteous and friendly, the overall state of the hotel was completely unacceptable. The hallways, stairs, and rooms had dark, dingy, and heavily stained carpeting, with visible dirt buildup along the edges of the staircases. The furniture was extremely outdated, and the entire property, especially our room, had a prominent, unpleasant odor. The environment felt dark, dirty, and deeply uncomfortable. The conditions were so poor that we chose to check out immediately and stay at a different hotel, without even waiting to request a refund. While checking out of our alternative accommodation, we met another guest who had also checked out of your hotel early for the exact same reasons. I am bringing this to your attention in the hope that these cleanliness and maintenance issues will be addressed immediately. Sincerely, Shawna

Some of the staff not friendly at all. An officer knock to the door asking if we had heard any Domestic violence that had happen. Not the best choice to stay

The place was nice and the ac works really well

I stayed two nights and was traveling alone. The hotel was very clean, the air conditioner worked well and the room had fresh carpet and furniture. It was a great deal for the price. The only downside is that even though they advertise free breakfast, there was only coffee and a couple hostess pastries. But I would gladly stay here again.

Horrible place. Stunk and was charged 20.00 cash non refundable and for what. I booked through Expedia. The bathroom ceiling looked like it was gonna fall. Room was HOT. Felt something bite my ankle when I was sleeping and did have a bite the next day so I hope it wasn’t a bed bug. Do not recommend.

Smelled like pot, carpets looked dirty, and bedding and curtains had holes in them. Bed was broken down as well.

Smell

Bit by bedbugs within ten minutes of turning out the lights. Hotel unable to switch my room. Left immediately. Ended up paying double rate for a late-night check-in at another hotel and then the rest of my stay at a third motel.

Noise

It’s old and abused, probably used for homeless, we needed a place to stay for one night and we were glad to find it. Our accommodations were cancelled without notice and most of the hotels were full up, making finding a place difficult. The ones we did find available, right next door prices on internet did not match the exuberant amount they were demanding. Howard Johnson’s was reasonably clean, there was a bed which sufficed. I do not regret staying there, it was quiet and I slept well enough to continue my journey down the road. The staff was very helpful, and theres no amenities.

Staff was hateful

The staff is fantastic but this hotel could really use a remodel. The price is great and the staff was great! It’s in dire need of a remodel or a deep clean.

Clean

I did not have a hair dryerer, the elevator near my room did not work, it was hot, there was no coffee in the room and there was no turn over service during the stay. Disappointing for a $200 per night hotel stay.
