Algoma Motel

The location was good and the fresh muffins in the morning were great It is old and dated….needs an update. The beds were not comfortable at all.

It had a vacancy. Wasn’t really planning on staying in Wawa but the Trans Canada highway was closed and Google Maps rerouted me through hwy 129 to Wawa. It was very dated.

Good location away from highway traffic. Parking for rooms on back side of building was limited.

It’s cute but basic. Good beds and good up to date smart tv No shampoo, no Kleenex, no facecloths

We were not informed about a breakfast. Was there one? It could be updated a bit. There was no shampoo etc.

Homemade muffins in the morning with coffee was a great bonus

Clean Surprise charges. We are pet owners and have a cat, and we’re charged $50 extra dollars for the cat for one night and this needs to be posted on Bookings. Pet friendly is $0 to $25 max. Charging extra for using a debit card is only appropriate when buying a bag of chips not a $200/night room. And didn’t tell us there was going to be a charge for that. Would have used my credit card. Also, noisy neighbors, thin walls.

This is such a quaint little motel. The beds were very comfortable. This is a basic place to stay and definitely worth the cost. It was extremely clean and comfortable. The staff were awesome and in the morning the office offered great coffee and wonderful freshly made muffins. We would definitely stay here again. It’s a very basic facility so didn’t have shampoo or a hair dryer.

The woman at the front desk was so incredibly lovely - kind, accommodating, funny and helpful despite our extremely last minute booking. The room was cosy, comfortable and more spacious than I anticipated. The fresh-baked muffins the next morning were divine! Lots of towels provided.

All ground floor rooms so could park right at the door. Easy access off highway. Cozy rooms. We blew a breaker by having several things powered at once so maybe the electrical system could use tweaking. Not a significant issue for us. The office staff quickly responded and for the rest of our stay we were mindful.

Old style family motel. Perfect for a multi day road trip. Bakery attached to the office was fantastic. Mmmmm good.

It was a bit strange that the bathroom sink was located outside the room with the toilet and tub. The pillows were a bit flat.

Freshly baked muffins are offered every morning at 7 but we were on the road by then. The front desk attendant was very friendly. The linens were very clean and though dated the room was spotlessly clean. It was affordable, conveniently located and we had a good night’s sleep.
