Hotel Mastino

Great location and room was comfortable. Most of the must see places are walking distance. You have a few restaurants next to it that stays open late.

Location

The hotel has perfect location: just 100 meters to Verona Arena and city center from one side and about 1 km to the Central Railway station and bus station from another. The hotel staff was very friendly. The room was quite quiet and comfortable with plenty of electrical outlets. Breakfasts had a good selection of food. The shower area isn't even separated from the bathroom by a threshold. As a result, all the water flows toward the toilet and sink. This is very uncomfortable and leads to mold growth. To avoid getting our feet wet and slipping, we had to soak up the water with towels after each shower.

Need renovation and better breakfast, but overall good hotel

We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Mastino. Some specific points follow: - the location was perfect. Easy to reach from the train station (even on foot) and very central at the same time - the room was quite comfortable, clean and relatively quiet (despite the location), so sleep quality was good. - the breakfast was quite good, with several options; the room it was served was medium-sized so it go pretty crowded on certain days/times and refilling the stock was challenging - the staff was very friendly and helpful. - The breakfast could have more options (esp. hot dishes) - overall, the price was very high for this accommodation, but I suppose Verona is quite expensive and the fact that we visited right before the winter Olympics didn't help.

The property was very clean inside. At night, we barely heard noise. The WiFi worked great. No inside lock on the door. Meaning, anyone with the combo could enter while you were there. Basic coffee/tea/bottle of water not provided. You could only watch 3 basic TV channels. No APP capability. The most uncomfortable bed and pillows. The 2nd night I rotated the mattresses and was able to get sleep without sliding to the middle of the bed.

Great central location - helpful staff

Good location to main square and train station The night noise was awful! Our room unfortunately was in the front, there is a McDonalds below and people hang out there until 3 am or later. I wore earplugs but u could still hear the noise.

Perfect location. Breakfast was good enough. Beds were not so comfortable . Bathroom, water of the shower if not seen would go on the room. View from the room.

bathroom is strange shower doesnt has a border so all water flows inside the bedroom room is so small and there is an mc donalds under the hotel so at night time there is too much noise
