Hotel Gabbia d'Oro

It far exceeded our expectations. The staff was amazing. Over the top. The rooms were really breathtaking historically. Nothing.

This hotel is a Verona Gem. Beautiful 18th Century building with modern, comfortable appointments. The staff is so kind and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. This is our 2nd stay and we rate the Gabbio D'Oro at 100%. Jill and Tom Liked everything.

the location the type of room that i get is for the special needs and i must get a normal room as in my booking, and i ask them to give me a closing balance an invoice for my stay they refuse for the reason that the contract between them and expedia not allow them to give me an invoice to close my account for the room but i told them my booking is through the booking.com not expedia they said this what we have and we can’t give because of the law in the hotel. this what kept me worried because i didn’t close my account in the hotel so please i need an explanation for what happened from your side thank you & pest regards

The location of this hotel couldn't be better - right in the main part of the old town! The hotel is rich in culture, history and quite unique. We have stayed here before and love it!!!! The tub / shower was a bit hard for me to get into and out of, but it worked and I have no real complaint. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!!

Room needs better lighting, and it has too many things pull over which makes it difficult to find space for my belongings

Gorgeous hotel. Great location. Exceptional staff who took really good care of us from arrival to departure- accommodating any request, from helping with parking our car to suggesting a fantastic restaurant (and making reservation) for lunch along the river. We had a room with a balcony and everything about the room and outdoor space was private and perfect!

Beautiful location with tons of character. Right in the center of historic town and next to amazing art museum. The quality of goods and breakfast and outstanding. The staff always goes above and beyond and they truly want to make your stay special.

The hotel has old world / old school decor and feel. The location was very good. Piazza Della Erbe is right outside the entrance. The bell staff are very efficient at helping as you check in and check out. Beautifully decorated. I really want to like this hotel. We were on the top floor and our windows were at the base of the floor. Room was pretty dark and no view. It was beautifully decorated but seemed to not be used for anything. Older dining area but no service, bar menu and bar but no service, sitting area but not used. Breakfast was nice. BE WARNED! We caught the maid going through our bags! Keep valuables secure or with you. We went down for breakfast, do not disturb sign on the door. Forgot the phone to take pictures of breakfast, turned around and went right back upstairs. We found sign off the door and caught the maid looking through one of our bags. I left everything in the room; phone, wallet, passport; and got lucky. Staff tried to downplay it and apologized profusely later. No offer of compensation or anything regarding the incident.

The staff was fantastic and very kind and accommodating! Would recommend staying! The location is perfect! Loved the decor and antiques but maybe a little overdone in the guest room. The incense in the elevator gave me a headache.

Amazing, attentive staff. This hotel is historic, art gallery, antiques and has over the top charm. The history seeps through the walls. Attention to every detail in prime location The bed was too firm, but that’s a personal preference, not a bad thing

Excellent location right off the Piazza delle Erbe. It's very central but yet the hotel is quiet and comfortable. Everything was wonderful and I would only suggest at some point upgrading the hair dryers in the rooms.

The whole experience was in general fantastic and lovely, starting from the warm welcoming of the stuff, to the cleanness of the hotel and to end up with its perfect location where everything in Verona is just steps away. The historical building of the hotel was nice, but the soundproof between the rooms was the only annoying part. But after a long day, who cares.

Loved everything about the hotel.

It's a beautiful old building that makes you feel special, and it perfectly complements the town. Stuff is helpful and kind. The room could be larger, and the furniture could be more comfortable. But in this case, it is justified by the unique atmosphere of the old building.
