Location and friendly owner Limited breakfast but good value stay

Superb

The location was excellent. The bed was comfortable and there was a superb shower. The breakfast was ok but not exceptional and was on a pre order basis rather than help yourself which was a little awkward. The building itself was magnificent with a marble entrance hall and vaulted ceiling’s. There were extensive gardens. We were on the 3 rd floor and the lift was out of action. We were on a cycle tour and there was inadequate storage for bikes and what there was was not secure for our expensive e bikes. There was tea/coffee available in the room but served in paper cups. China cups would have been nicer.

Really friendly lady who checked me in, very polite and kind. She couldn't do enough, really good. Great location to walk into town and the street its on is like a movie. Free parking with loads of room. B&B is full of character. Breakfast is really good.

The villa is lovely and well-kept. I arrived late so couldn’t see the property at night but the morning brought lovely views of the grounds and the interior.

The place itself was charming, comfortable and very clean. Despite being an old house, it was quiet the entire night. The owners were super friendly, and the freshly cooked breakfast was included in the stay. We felt very welcome and at home. The stairs to the rooms, which are on the second floor, are very narrow and it was hard to carry our bags upstairs, but as it's an old house that was to be expected.

Loved the swimming pool which was a welcome relief after a long drive. John , the Landlord gave us a warm welcome. The coffee at Breakfast was exemplary as were the croissants and fruit salad. Didn't like the fact that the bathroom had no door.

As a couple we had a great time in this accommodation. The beds are super comfortable and the accommodation staff is very attentive. The breakfast is delicious. However, I think the price is too expensive for one night. The bathroom is shared, in the hallway. Because on the Booking app, it says you have access to a sauna and swimming pool, and at this time of year there is no access to either option, so the price should go down.

Cosy clean and most of all the host is very friendly and accommodating ?? Only the bed but that’s a small issue

The grounds are lovely, the staff/owners very friendly. They all are very accommodating rooms were what I would expect for the style and the age of the home. I loved the stay, however short. I will return again. I couldn't say there was nothing I didn't like.
