Ca' San Trovaso - 6 Rooms

The property was quiet, clean, comfortable, and relaxing! This was our first stay in Venice and we found the location to be perfect. It’s in a beautiful area, and you can easily walk to all the sites, but you’re away from the overwhelming crowds. AC worked perfectly, and even during a hot week the room was comfortable even without it due to the shade from nearby buildings. The owner was so great, we hope to come back soon! WiFi was a bit slow sometimes in our room, but it worked for our needs!

Location was the best thing, quiet, charming, and strategic even. The room is cute and comfortable. Staff communicated just right, and I appreciated that.

Ca San Trovaso is an excellent small hotel in Venice. The staff were exceedingly helpful with directions and advice on how to get to the hotel. they were also very helpful with restaurant recommendations. It is located on a quiet canal and is full of charm. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely welcoming staff. The rooms are nice and well appointed. My only concern was there was no elevator and two fairly steep flights of stairs to our room. We did get assistance from the staff with our bags. I personally found the beds to be too soft for me. Others might not have that issue. The location is good about a 15 minute walk from Saint Marc Square. Stairs, no lift. Bed too soft for me.

We liked that it was away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist but easy to get to via vaporetto.

I love Dorsoduro as a location in Venice - quieter part and no less convenient. Alessandra the manager is so lovely. And the facility is a sweet little hotel, not an anonymous AIRBNB, where you feel like you are contributing to the housing shortage. We had the room facing the canal on the first floor (which is not the ground floor). Noise and canal smell were not an issue as were there in early spring and slept with windows closed. And roof terrace is very sweet and tickets to nearby bar for morning coffee very nice. Also coffee machine and snacks area very convenient. The internet!

We enjoyed speedy communication. Our questions about transportation were answered. We really enjoyed the fabulous coffee machine and lounge. The imagina cafe was also a bonus. We also enjoyed the location in Dosoduro. wonderful value also.

This small hotel is located away from the tourist crowds but close to great options for meals and strolls along the water. It is close enough to stop mid day for a break or to drop off shopping. The shared coffee bar is a great option and the outdoor terrace is perfect for morning coffee. The breakfast voucher were a nice option as well. The hotel owner is super helpful with transportation advice.

The rooms were large and bright with updated showers. The rooftop terrace was really nice place for an afternoon respite or early morning coffee. We loved the quiet location of the rooms and how easy it was to arrive on the water taxi. The coffee machine didn’t always work.

Large space and located on a quiet street with easy access to groceries, restaurants and transportation. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The Wifi was poor and only available in one common room. It was not available in any of the bed rooms. There were almost 6 flights of very uneven (worn out) stairs to climb to get to the apartment. not suitable for senior or individuals with mobility concerns or lots of bags. The washing machines (two of them) did not work.
