Caro Hotel
About Caro Hotel
Caro Hotel is a former 19th-century palace located in the heart of Valencia, just 656 feet from the Cathedral. Architecturally unique, it masterfully blends historic heritage with contemporary design, creating a sophisticated and truly one-of-a-kind experience, preserving elements dating back more than 2,000 years. Designed by Francesc Rifé, each room is individually conceived, reflecting an elegant minimalist esthetic enriched with carefully curated details. Many rooms feature singular architectural elements such as medieval coffered ceilings or original Moorish arches, seamlessly integrated into the modern design. All rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, air conditioning, and a complimentary mini-bar. The bathrooms offer a refined experience with Lalique toiletries, bathrobes, and slippers. In 2024 and 2025, Caro Hotel was awarded a Michelin Key, a distinction granted by the MICHELIN Guide to recognize the world’s most exceptional hotels for their excellence, character, and quality of experience. This prestigious accolade — introduced for the first time to honor outstanding achievements in the hospitality industry — highlights the Valencian hotel sector’s deep-rooted commitment to delivering top-tier service and unforgettable stays.

Perfecte ligging, mooi hotel en top service
-
Great location in the centre of town but still wonderfully peaceful and quiet. We received an upgrade and had a spectacular room, spacious and light. Despite the fast response by the staff, we would have appreciated a coffee or tea option in the room.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and even gave us great recommendations when we checked in! The location of the hotel is also perfect! I need to say for a 5 star hotel some of the amenities were more 3-4 stars. The shower was pretty bad (very weak water pressure, shower head was broken). The pool was rather small and breakfast was also not included in the price

Everything N/A

The hotel was clean The staff were rude and barely acknowledged us when we walked in after a day out. Check in was awkward after the receptionist insisted that we needed an address from the same country as where our passport (Irish) is issued despite explaining that we live in Spain. After a lot of tapping on her keyboard she agreed to make an exception for us. The swimming pool was closed at 8pm just as you needed to cool off after a day out. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Room was poorly thought out ie: nowhere to hang a towel near the bath or place products near the bath. The room produced condensation on the walls which pooled on the floor creating slippery floors due to no carpets. Bedroom windows are nowhere near sound proof, you could hear people's footsteps outside let alone talking etc. No comfortable bar area to sit at in reception. Overall I find it extremely difficult to understand how this is a 5 star rated hotel.

The location was perfect and the staff were really friendly and helpful especially I loved the breakfast as Sonia is really kind and gave us great service! Thank you so much :)) The pool was small than I expected but ok for the city break

The breakfast and staff who worked in this area were wonderful. The lovely young gentleman who provided room service and bar work, especially the young man with the small beard who provided cups of tea latter part of the day was very respectful and courteous. The little bar fridge filled each day was a lovely touch The rooms were quite dark and for older persons it was difficult to see. A distressed small child cried every morning close by our room making it difficult to sleep in.
-
Very quiet location lovely clean rooms all staff were incredibly warm and welcoming We encountered some difficulty accessing the property as we traveled by car but this was more due to lane challenges etc while driving in Valencia

Location, service, historical touch to the facility Beds could be a bit more soft in our room
