Alam Indah Ubud

Beautiful quiet location. Delux room was gorgeous. Staff very attentive and friendly. Grounds and pool area well kept. Not for everyone but loved seeing the monkeys around the property especially down at the pool. Respect them and you'll have no issues Nothing really. We knew it was away from the busier side of Ubud and it was a bit of a walk with a few steps and inclines, but needed the exercise after all the good food.

Magical setting and beautiful rooms with lovely space and day beds. Luxurious breakfast and extremely good staff. They strove to meet our every need!

The property was so beautiful. The pool was amazing and monkeys passed by while swimming. The staff are so friendly. Breakfast was great. We had the perfect stay. Highly recommend! We loved everything about it.

Staff was wonderful. Food very good. Shuttle van into Ubud central was very helpful everyday. But we could still walk places, too. We also liked the local village and being near the monkey forest. Liked the nature surrounding us and the animals, a real sanctuary for us. Best place and hotel experience of our stay in Bali. There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

My room was simply amazing. The view was incredible and you felt like you were in the clouds overlooking the river valley and jungle. The pool was great, food was great, free shuttle, privacy, comfort, and class. A tad bit dated but I kind of like that. I prefer old school Bali to "modern" Bali.

This place is very special,we felt so loved and cared for,like family ,with a spiritual energy of kindness and love ,we we felt like honoured guests,Truely The people were extremely kind and helpful in every way ,the room was like a palace,beautiful pool,it is quiet and next to the jungle and nature. Some noisy construction started next door and they kindly gave us a better room without us asking. The fact that we had to leave, A cappacino machine would have been so great,but then we would have gone for our walk every morning,

Lovely large balinese villas, with all the comforts. Nice contrast to the modern cement blocks elsewhere. Lovely gardens, very peaceful. The noises were birds and monkeys ! ? As with many vintage properties, they could use more plugs - or we need to be less dependent on our devices !

On arrival we were greeted by name and were given a much appreciated cool glass of freshly squeezed fruit juice. This was typical of our entire experience. Our room was spacious with a huge bathroom and a balcony with a spectacular view of the monkey forest and beyond. The breakfast was great with several options. The surroundings were immaculate and very peaceful and quiet.

I loved my stay here. The location is fantastic, just out of the hustle of downtown but only a 20 minute walk through the monkey forest to the Palace/downtown. The street is lovely with restaurants, nightclub, yoga, stores, massage ... very safe and quiet. The grounds are gorgeous, and the pool is a welcome sight for a swim in the very warm afternoons. Loved the large room, and giant porch with balinese couch for lounging on. The staff were professional, helpful, and very nice. Food terrific, and the ginger tea delicious. They had a handy shuttle to take you to/from locations. And they organized the taxi to/from airport. Note the grounds are traditional with large stone steps so may not be perfect for those with mobility issues. Recommend. The bathroom is a bit dated. Minor.

What is not to like. Amazing place right next to the monkey forrest, away from busy Ubud. Excellent room with outdoor bathroom and total privacy. Nothing

Beautiful Balinese style property with gorgeous gardens. Lovely place to chill out. Staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Courtesy car to bring you into central Ubud and back was a great bonus. Breakfast was gorgeous, cooked to order and eaten on the lovely veranda at reception or you can get it delivered to your room. A free afternoon tea with some Balinese cakes was also provided. We had lunch there one day and this was delicious. Swimming pool was in a lovely location from where you could see the monkeys in the monkey forest next door. Village has a few restaurants ,shops and a mini market. There are a number of steps up to the property and down to the pool. However there is an alternative entrance that also brings you to the main street and is perfectly flat. This avoids the steps up to the property.

Loved this place. It was the perfect reprieve for my mum and I. I didn’t love the driver they organised from the hotel, he took us to a temple which was great but upon exit he made us go down a retail maze instead of going directly to the car, unfortunately it was a torrential rain storm and becasue my mum is 75 and we wearing our dry clothes the rest of the afternoon was uncomfortable.

We loved everything about this property. The room was large and comfortable with a lovely balcony and a large day bed for relaxing. Staff were exceptional, complimentary on call drivers, lovely pool with the added bonus of being able to endlessly watch the monkeys in their habitat next door. This property has such a peaceful vibe and is set in stunning garden surrounds. We loved the breakfast selection and the added touch of a library and a book with Balinese folk stories left in the room to read.

Nestled into beautiful nature and the opportunity to get a lift to the city for free. Also the promoted tour with guide Gede was a great experience The shower didn’t heat up and the water wasn’t fresh and wasn’t filled up again
