Most amazing experience we’ve had staying in a hotel; extremely comfortable, welcoming, clean, and beautiful. We thought the location was perfect, a bit secluded from town, but not too far from it (at most 5 mins away). The host was exceptional, he was always present, willing to help in anything we needed, and very kind. In honesty, it was sad leaving not only Tulum, but the host as well since he always greeted us every morning.

The property is so so beautiful, amazing pools and nice to be slightly quieter from the madness of tulum. Although it is centrally located it is down quieter streets so you can retreat from the madness. Water wasn't free and at that price when tap water isn't drinkable i expect water to be complimentary. I am also still owed a refund for some bikes we hired that broke mid cycle

The staff are exceptionally helpful and welcoming! The place itself is a good value for money and a nice base for a longer stay. If you are interested in spending most of your time in town, I would recommend renting a car.

Comfortable and large bed. AC and fan. Good sized bathroom and shower. Mini kitchen attached which was useful with a fridge. 2 pools, both accessible to guests. We liked that the hotel was quiet and out of the way. It’s around a 20 minute walk to the town/shops down a couple of main roads.

Beautiful rooms, atmosphere was adorable, rooms are cutetly designed. Rooms were very quiet. Hotel Staff while friendly is not very organzied. Doesn't matter what time you were at lobby, the receptionist wasn't there which made it quite complicated to check-in and out. One of the 2 rooms glitter was found in the bed sheets & on the floor. So cleanliness can be improved

The bedroom was clean and having the AC was great, location was pretty good, best to have a bike, scooter or car to get around, pools were lovely, pretty place They don't provide drinking water, difficult to communicate with owner because of language barrier best to use translater. Decently close to strip but beaches are about a 1hour walk away

There are 2 swimming pools, the roof top one amazing to stare at the night sky and also to see the Sun rising. Bicycle rental opportunities are great to have as it is not in the centre.

one of the staff members brought some clean bedding and towels around in the evening. Unfortunately we had a few issues at the property so decided to leave after the first nights stay. Issues were as follows. 1. Unclean bedding, lots of hairs found in the bed. We asked for clean bedding and towels and fortunately they were brought right away but unfortunately we had been travelling so we’re too tired to even change the bed, we ended up sleeping on top of our travel blanket, this was a shame. 2. Shower The shower was luke warm for a short period of time, it wasn’t working properly which resulted in lots of water on the floor. 3. Unsafe balcony There were lots of raised screws on the balcony, I went out without any shoes on and caught my foot on the raised screw which did hurt a little, I have taken some pictures of the screws. 4. Noise Unfortunately the area in general was very noisy, a rooster in the neighbours garden over the road and lots of stray dogs running around the area causing the domesticated dogs to bark, this was consistent throughout the night. 5. Pillows Unfortunately the pillows were not great, lumpy and I would definitely recommend a new set, also the pillow used to set the bed was extremely dirty. 6. No towels, then given dirty ones. We had high expectations for this place and I don’t like to be negative but unfortunately we were extremely disappointed in general, as a result we booked elsewhere the next morning.

Lagoon Boutique Hotel was a perfect little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Tulum. The rooms are spacious and clean, the pools are glorious and the staff were friendly. The location is great if you want to be away from the noise (we did) but is about a 25 min walk from the centre so just something to be mindful of.
