Tru by Hilton Troy Detroit

When Tru first came about the hotel was immaculate; no longer true. Upon entry into the room, immediately noticed it was not cleaned properly. Contact surfaces had old stains (looked like pop or coffee), dirt/debris on floor not only in corners, stained window shade. Breakfast the next am was poorly attended to, no worker smiled at all, they all looked miserable. Front desk staff constantly on their phones. We had a very similar experience the last time we stayed at this location. This confirmed we will not be returning. Looking at our Expedia history, we travel more than most and are very dissatisfied with this location. The Hilton brand as a whole has drastically lost its luster. If this is the future of their brand, we will stick with others.

We loved the pool table, and the front lobby atmosphere was positive and speedy.

Breakfast was ok! Quick and easy A little dirty in hallways the floors looked like they got missed on cleaning! Our room was good.

The stuff are so helpful and nice. The area close to shopping and quiet. I recommend this hotel to stay in.

We enjoyed our recent stay at Tru! The staff was friendly and helpful, the complimentary breakfast was varied and well stocked while our room had comfortable beds and plenty of hot water. At times we could hear the traffic on I75 but it was not bothersome.

The only thing i could say was the shower floor seems dated . Overall the room was clean and great for the price and location.

Breakfast was ok - met expectations and decent variety. Although relatively new hotel, room showed some signs of age as there was broken towel hook and silicone around the sink

Location to nearby restaurants. The stains in the shower. You xan tell it was a rush job cleaning the room.

The staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, but the sausage links needed to be browned more because they looked undercooked or just steamed with almost no color. The pancakes with assorted toppings and cheese omelette were the best to us. The pool area was clean, had seating, clean towels, restrooms, and the space was heated. Workout area was nice with a variety of options. Overall I would recommend this location because it’s quiet (outside those staying there) even with the freeway nearby and close to local shopping, restaurants, freeway, and gas stations.
